We have just held a large family wedding nearby and most of the people attending stayed at the Premier Inn next door to the Brewers Fayre and I cannot praise the staff highly enough, they pulled out all the stops for us . Abley led by Adrian they catered for over seventy people at very short notice Ned did this with little or no fuss. The bar was very competitively priced and well staffed ( sorry for nearly drinking your entire stock of Proseco ) . A fantastic team effort, well done 👍

We had a delicious meal with exceptionaly good friendly service and also found it great value for money, we will certainly return for more.

The staff are attentive and very friendly. My husband has eaten breakfast all over the world and said the breakfast here cannot be beaten. I get vegetarian sausages and so much for me to choose from. They should get an award for their breakfast and set the bar for the rest of the industry. We stay here a lot and never been disappointed

Came from London to visit my father who is in a care home. Had a brilliant carvery on Sunday (yesterday). Dad really enjoyed his lunch, the turkey was lovely and tender for him, and there was such a selection of tasty vegetables. My husband and I also had the same and we were very satisfied and very surprised just how reasonable it all was. The restaurant was almost full and plenty of reserved tables - can only suggest that this is definitely a Sunday lunch not to be missed. Will certainly be visiting again. Thank you to the very attentive staff, and all were very friendly.

This was one of my regular places to eat out as a family but we rarely go here now, unless you have the chefs counter then the food is over priced for what you get, the problem with the chefs counter is the choice on different days, they used to do something different every day, but now it's just currys and fish nights, the price of the breakfast is fairly pricey too, just how do you eat £8.99 breakfast when I can get a good portion breakfast and coffee at Morrisons across the road for under a fiver? The good thing about this place is the soft play, as you have to pay for it it means it's not full of kids that cause problems (on various occasions we've gone down the road to Millhouse? Little one has come back to the table several times in tears), and it's also very clean and tidy, probably most cleaner and tidier than the rest of the place.

While the main menu is pricey the food is OK, especially the sausages and mash.

We will be back but this is only for the little one, a carvery on a Sunday followed by a hour or so in the soft play means she will sleep great that night.

Ordinarily I would rave about this brewers fayre, ordinarily the staff are very attentive, fast and friendly, however, on this occasion, I cannot say any of those things. When ordering food, we were stood in line for almost 15 minutes as there was only one member of staff on the tills even though there seemed to be an abundance of servers and at least two supervisors of which I noticed.

Then when our food came, my friend found what appeared to be a sycamore pod in her food. The staff were very quick to remove it and refunded her the cost of her meal. On reflection she asked for the object back so she could take a picture of which they said no because they had disposed of it. If this is true then their food safety guidelines need to be addressed!

They replaced half of her meal and considered the matter dealt with.

Because we had young children with us who had been eagerly anticipating a play in the soft play, we stayed and let them have ice cream. On any other occasion I would have left immediately.

I understand the object came from prepackaged food which is not the restaurants fault but the suppliers, but I do firmly believe it should have been handled better.

The ice cream was nice though :-)

Lovely lunch of fries with cheese n bacon on. Returned for dinner. 4 had eat all you can. I and partner ordered fish n chips. His Giant size. Sadly both same size though not same price. Took do long to come others had finished their meal so can't say I enjoyed the experience. As it took so long to get to us batter was soggy! You get what you pay for do will return as good price. Great play area for kids while you sit and chat. Like my stars say it was okay.

User

Arrived tonight for a family meal, chosen a restaurant that had soft play facilities the children (4&7), arriving at 6,45pm for the soft play to be closed just after 7pm due to no staff being able to watch the area?! This is the second time in the last three visits we haven’t been able to use the soft play?! Very disappointing as the children always look forward to playing! As a recommendation could you please remove the dirty plates before bringing out the deserts.

User

Although the food was a bit ‘lacking’ the management and staff were very friendly and helpful, and any issues we had were very quickly resolved. It is refreshing to find a place that is prepared to deal effectively with problems.

User

Went for dinner with my parents waited at the reception desk for 5 minuets with staff walking past not saying anything, decided to seat ourselves none of the tables near the play area had cutlery even when they started to put cutlery out they decided not to give us any, the floor was covered in food as was the high chairs there were dirty rags left near us. There were no staff around for the play area. Used to go here a lot but seems to have gone down hill in regards to cleanliness. Would say no problem with the food.

User

Sadly a family 21st meal ruined by toliets full of paper and other worse in other toliets with overflowing sanitary items. Three large groups of families crammed into very small area despite restaurant being very quite with loads of empty tables. Closed soft play due to no staff to watch the area. But lots standing around bar doing nothing. Plates not cleared before next course delivered and two deserts missing.

We go to Brewers Fayre quite a lot, was very disappointed last night, took my in laws for a meal, ordered it no problem, starters were lovely, I went to the Ladies and mentioned to the Waitress there was no toilet roll in any of the Cubicles to which she said I will sort that now, so I thought ok great, main meal was a hour late so I was not happy, went to the Ladies before I left and still no Toilet Rolls, (that was 2 hours after I first mentioned it), so I’m now thinking going elsewhere in the Future, Very Disappointed

User

Visited Brewers Fayre after travelling 4hours to visit a close family member who was in hospital. Wanted somewhere to eat and for my little one to have a play before a 4 hour drive home. Arrive at brewers at approx 4.30 to a sign on the door to say the soft play would be closed at 5 for a birthday party (fair enough) so usher little one in to be told he cant play because they are closing the soft play for a party, (sign on the door says closing at 5 it is now only 4.30) staff was rude and unhelpful! At 6pm the soft play is still empty with no sign of any childrens party.....So onto the issue with our food, childs starter is on the table before even finished ordering food!! 2 main meals are out in less than 10minutes, still frozen, meals are returned and refund requested, a memeber of staff comes over to the table and appears to question why we want a refund seeming to be rude and abrupt... ask for childs ice cream to be brought to the table.. half hour later ice cream arrives!! (takes longer to prepare 2 scoops of icecream than 2 steak and chips!) Overall i am appalled with the customer service and the food! Now heres to a long hungry 4 hour drive home!

User

Rubbish rubbish rubbish, asked for a medium steak, arrived well done and cold, even the steak knife could not cut through it..got it replaced..steak was much better..but..found baked beans in the mushrooms..aren’t they served at breakfast..complained again and was asked do I want a free drink...no I do not ..I am away from home and want an edible meal that is fresh..

User

Had the misfortune of having breakfast here yesterday. What a diabolical breakfast service...long queues and warm unappetising food...watery scrambled egg and a toaster which did not brown the toast (unless you put it through 2 or 3 times which wasn't brilliant as you were then holding up everyone else.) Staff weren't particularly enthusiastic either. Such a shame as Brewers Fayre are usually good.
