Visit with my 2 boys . Friendly table service play area for the boys to play in while waiting on food. Kids loved their burgers . The steak I had was great. Nice place , nice food and service , I will go back.

Service excellent, friendly staff, food was very nice. Party of 12 of us for daughters birthday. Definitely go again!

Must say the 5 stars are defiantly deserved for Chloe the waitress. Food was lovely. But poor Chloe didn't seem to stop. Very polite, very friendly, always with a smile on her face.

If I have any critique then I would say more staff required. We come here regularly and only ever see Chloe on the floor, taking orders, delivering orders, cleaning away, greeting new diners and taking payments.

Lovely customer service very reasonable prices excellent food very nice clean establishment, very friendly staff assistant manager Laura very nice and accommadating good with kids friendly helpful, well spaced out seating and table's so not up against other people, always go out of their way to accommodate when booking table's.

I paid a visit Wednesday with my son and grandson my baked salmon was beautiful as was the boys meals. I was back there on Saturday with my sister we both had crustless quiche, salad, chips. The meal was lovely, tasty quiche hot chips and nice side salad. Couldn't fault it. The staff were nice and friendly and the service was great.

I eat at this reasturant often the food has always been good as is the service I am gluten free and they acomadate me fine I also like the fact that u usually unless really busy day end up with a bit of space around u which I feel adds a sense of privacy to dinning here I have not found else where

User

Friendly staff that ask if your meal is ok, yet dont bother you at all. Food freshly cooked but well worth the wait. The steak was melt in the mouth. We didnt feel rushed at all. Overall excellent service, excellent food. Will definately be going back. Highly recommend

User

Food was excellent and staff are friendly. Only one critic and that would be to have more than one toaster as, as I was waiting to use it my cooked breakfast came out and didn't have time to do toast.

User

Came up from Devon for a car meet and the food was spot on as its been for tje times before. Breakfast is soooooo yummy.

Both our waitress and the manager were fantastic, I have Coeliac disease so cannot eat gluten, on top of that am dairy intolerant. The allergen guide was extremely thorough and easy to read, the best I've come across in fact. The waitress was very happy to go through it with me, and then the manager came and explained how the kitchen avoid cross contamination and that she oversees the cooking for meals when there is an allergen issue for customer.

The play area looked fantastic, sadly never got to use it as rain chose the exact moment we stepped outside to begin.

Only real downsides were it took a little longer to be seated than we'd expect, possibly as partner was stood alone while I was changing the little one, and two flies that kept bugging us. But this time of year with doors open for air to circulate that is pretty much to be expected. All in all would recommend here, am glad we gave it a shot in spite of some very low reviews from others.

Took my dad today for a birthday treat he is 65 today. He had a mixed grill came with the tiniest piece of steak ever and that hard could've used it for a brick, when spoke to someone about it they said they would get another one which came out pouring with blood!! Smothered chicken was hard on outside just generally poor food

User

Pretty basic 'pub grub' you know what you're going to have before looking at the menu. The choices for kids is pretty standard the little play area is decent for them too. The breakfast is nice with a variety of cereals and hot options too.

User

Its ok food is reasonable not piping hot sadly but being told to wait 45 mins for a table when lots of tables were free was ridiculous we had waited then sat down eaten and gone and they were still empty! And as for the soft play area the max age of 10 is too bigfor the size of the play area an accident waiting to happen!!

User

Kitchen can not cook steaks, or read orders. waitress could not understand us, and although clarified what we said , she still got order wrong. Manager tried her best . Will give another go, but will keep away from anything the Chef has to think about . salad it is then lol

Arrived at lunchtime (1.30pm) waited quite a while to be served, when the starter eventually arrived it was luke warm, I had garlic mushrooms, did not complaint as I did not want to wait again, but when my main arrived, I had gammon steak, it was well and truly over cooked, again I did not complain as I did not have time for them to re-cook my order, l eventually left at almost 4pm and looking around I was not the only one with issues that day.

Went today for a family birthday meal. Once seated, ordered drinks to be told they've got no draught beers except Tetleys . They had ran out of Carling, Stella the lot. Then told they had no coke at all. So ordered J2O as per the waitress recommendations. Asked if we wanted orange and passion fruit or apple and mango. Ordered orange and passion fruit to then be told later on that they had none of that either.

Went on to order food and even joked with the waitress saying did they have all of the food on the menu. Her response yes we have a full menu today. They do a Sunday Carvery deal where you get Vegetable soup for a starter and then a choice of 4 options for the Carvery - beef, gammon, Turkey or vegetable Wellington. When ordering told that they had no vegetable soup left and we're only doing mushroom soup. 2 of us advised we didn't like mushroom soup and the response was oh right?! Not can we get you anything else instead or you can possibly substitute for a pudding if required. So 2 of us had no starter even though it was included in the price. Then we were not offered all of the meats as they had ran out of these. Starters ordered and then waited 25 minutes for these. Once done then waited a further 30 minutes for dinner. One person ordered fish and chips - they got half cooked chips with a plate full of batter. No fish at all. The chips on the other 3 meals were also not cooked. The 3 people who had the roast dinner had dried out potatoes with chewy beef, dried out carrots and a spoon full of gravy. We asked for further gravy to be bought out in three jugs which was fine, until we realised afterwards we had been charged for these at £1.50 each. One of us had a soft drink which had all gone. We asked for another drink which was fine but the waitress did not ask anyone else if we wanted a drink. We then had to go and order this at the bar as they didn't hang around delivering the food or drinks.

The only good thing about the meal was the pudding which was the dirty mud pie. Definately recommend this if you are brave enough to go.

We have been going to this pub for years- even when it was called the Ansty Arms but after today's meal I will definately say that I will NOT be going back!!!

I wasn't too impressed with my food and not usually one to complain but I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it came out overly well done, practically burnt! I asked for some Diane sauce with it and the meal came it without it, I then had to ask for it which took another 15 minutes by which time my meal was cold. Not sure I will eat there again.
