thank you for today.... couldn't fault anything.... 2 mixed grills and one free as it was my birthday, both cooked to perfection and the meat so tender the knife just glided through. Robbie was fabulous, friendly, funny and very helpful, she was amazing. Can't wait to go back Friday which is our usual day.... been several times and never a bad meal or unwelcoming service. Love this place and all the staff.

We've been visiting the Tudor Rose for about six months now. The service and the food is always spot on

User

Our visit to The Tudor Rose was very comfortable, our meal was everything we expected as was the service we received off all the staff. Our meal was exactly as we'd asked for, in fact our request was carried out to the letter and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. So thank you to all staff on duty last evening.

Our second visit, very friendly and helpful staff. Will be returning.

My brother and I were placed there by our housing association, as temporary accommodation, for the weekend. So not our choice but glad we went there. The staff of Tudor Rose and Premier Inn were excellent in every aspect. Friendly, attentive, helpful and totally professional, which helped us with our situation. The food was great and very reasonable priced for a good plateful, the drinks are also top notch. Restaurant, bar, hotel and room were very clean throughout and comfortable to be in. The only thing that wasn't "great" was that our room was close to the air-conditioning motor, which turned on and off throughout the night and was "loud". Apart from that NO PROBLEMS. Given a choice we would most certainly go there again, at least to the Tudor Rose.

I always went to another leading place for breakfast but it had gone down hill last week , no coffee , no mushrooms and even a hair in my beans , so after trying the Tudor Rose yesterday 10/10 il be coming back !!!!!

Food was great. However, what really made our trip today was the staff. My family and I went with my great grandparents for the Sunday roast. My grandma is 84 and we have to help her slightly with getting her food as she was having the carvery. When she went up, my mum was helping her out and one of the chefs behind the carvery saw that my mum was trying to get herself and my great-grandma’s food so he came from behind the counter and helped my grandma with her plate, asking her what she wanted and plating it up for her. He then proceeded to carry her food to the table for her. This truly meant a lot to my family and we didn’t catch his name but we’d just like to say a huge thank you to the lad that did that for her, we are very grateful for your kindness!!

We went here as it was on the way home from a trip, and thought we'd give this place a try as it was en route. Surprised by the price (2 meals for £10) and surprised at the decent sized meal we got-my fish and chips was excellent, wife's smothered chicken very good as well, red hot and served soon after we ordered!

Had a pint of local ale with it,a soft drink and two starters came to under £18, great value we thought, seating was a bit restricted as it was Valentines Day and a lot of tables had reserved signs but we found a nice place to sit.

I think you could order the same food in the bar which may have been a better seating area from the restaurant but it didn't matter.

Staff were friendly and helpful, no room for a pud though! Nice place, great value and worth going to again. 👍🏽

We have been here a few times over the last couple of months and found the food to be very good. We have eaten in both sides bar and restaurant. All haven been good friendly staff.except for one visit I went with my friend for lunch in the bar. The women behind the bar was miserable. Rude and just not what we expected from a brewersfare. We did over hear another table moaning about her attituied. My friend has written to complain manners cost nothing but the food was nice pity she spoiled our day.

User

Lovely Roast dinner. Beef was a bit tough but the roast potatoes were the best we have had.

User

A nice meal at a very good price and pleasant staff.

User

Thought hobbies meal wasntvwirth the money, it was more like a starter portion, also not printed on menu the offers are not available on bank holidays just a nite stuck non the till. Lastly man behind the bar very full of himself.

User

The meal was very nice although the mash potato could have been a bit softer and warmer

User

Nice meal and good service just a shame things not available that are advertised to entice you there!!

I regularly use the Tudor Rose and it's normally on a Saturday as my parents come to visit me and I like to take them out for lunch. I do have some issues though I find the food is not always up to my standards it always seems like the food is rushed out so quickly after ordering and I find the cooking and in some instances the look and preparation a little poor and in my view over priced for what you get. My mother is not a big eater and would much prefer a nice sandwich or ploughman's but there's no option for this and should be. Also there's offers on during the week but not on weekends which can make having a meal very expensive whern these five of you in the group!

User

Staff great food poor!! quality and presentation shocking chips appeared warmed up pate awful maybe make your own!!came with 2 pieces of large white toast couple of lettuce leaves haven't been for over 10 years won't go again place very tired and very echoee

Not a very good experience. Booked a table for 4 for Sunday lunch. Shown to the wrong table first, then when at our table there was not enough place settings. All decided to have a carvery meal, two standard size and two large, and all thought we would start with some soup. Went for soup and there were no bread rolls, which the manager said he would get some more. More arrived but they were absolutely stone cold, when asked why this was apparently they had come from the fridge. Who puts bread rolls in the fridge? So we have our soup and rolls and then go to get our carvery meals. Myself and my daughter went first and were duly served after presenting our tickets. Then my wife and mother in law went to get theirs. When they returned it was obvious my wife wasn't too happy. It turns out the chef who was serving had said 'be with you in a few minutes' and disappeared, leaving no one to serve. When he returned he was asked for a larger plate to suit the large meal ordered, and after huffing he went to get one. On his return he barked out 'ticket' to my wife, who is now biting her tongue in frustration and anger. We report this to the manager who is apologetic and offers free puddings for us all. Only two of us order pudding for which we waited at least 15 mins, and still no pudding arrived, at which point we left.

The food itself wasn't too bad, but attitude and attention to the basics was poor.

Needless to say we won't be returning in a hurry.
