Brewers Fayre

Another lovely meal for just my daughter and myself after a day out. Clearly the spag Bol must have been good for my daughter as I’ve never seen her clear a plate there before. Only disappointment was I asked for colouring pencils to entertain waiting for meal and didn’t turn up

We went there last Christmas and the service was excellent and the food was great. Yesterday we went there for our Anniversary the service was poor we were shown to our booked table and told to go to the bar when ready. We thought for drinks only. but no we had to decide what we wanted to eat there and then. The manager asked what we wanted for dessert well at that point not having had my meal I didn't even know! He handed us our Carvery tickets and it was a good job I looked at the ticket as I didn't realise soup was included in the carvery. When it came to puds I had to get up and ask someone to help us as we were full and wanted to take them away. Which they couldn't as they didn't have any boxes to put it in. why advertise it ?? (so they and I lost out there). Our coffees were all spilt down the sides of the glasses NO faness. It's only due to past experience with Brewers Fayre and the excellent service we have received in the past that we went back. but this Christmas we will have to really think!!

Staying in the Premier Inn had been driving all day, really felt like a chill and beer in the bar in the evening, stood at the bar for ages while staff stood around chatting, eventually served by a scruffy chav looking woman, she dropped my change on the floor, picked it up and dropped it into my hand, no please or thank you, so I said a loud “thank you you’re welcome” the reply “salright innit”.
