Myself and my family visited you on Wednesday 29th August, the food was fantastic and the staff were helpful and friendly, we will most definitely be visiting again, keep up the good work guys

I can not thank the staff enough for tonight after my daughter had a run in with a bigger boy and hurt her leg, the manager Natasha went above and beyond her duties and Lyra is over the moon with her new huge Mr Bunny thank you again and the food was lush tonight too

We were staying in the Premier In for a night and ate an early meal around 3pm. Food was lovely and excellent service. The restaurant was particularly quiet at that time but we enjoyed our meal. We returned to the restaurant around 9pm and ordered a sharing platter which was quite a lot for the 2 of us and great value at under £9. Again we seemed to have missed the rush and the restaurant was quiet but staff on duty were very pleasant and service was good. They were gearing up for Mother’s Day today with the bookings full all day today so perhaps it might not be a great day to go! All in all a very pleasant experience and good value for the food we had.

We turned up on the off chance at ten to seven on Friday evening 5th june with no booking, the host found us a table even though they were busy. Ordered our food at the bar and told half an hour wait. It turned up 20 mins later. My partner had the ultimate burger which he said was very nice I had chick and cheese burger which was very tasty although they had run out of blue cheese. The coleslaw was lovely and the chips were perfectly cooked. All in all a nice meal smiley friendly wait staff. Will be going back. To be honest ive read some of the reviews on here and was a bit wary but went anyway.

It’s a busy place to eat very popular

I think a few more staff are needed at the weekend as waited at bar area 15 mins only one young lady behind the bar

Was told food was 45 min wait

We only had chicken and bacon salads and sides took approx 25 mins. It was quite nice to be fair

The breakfast was great polite lady

We turned up late Saturday evening at 9pm we ordered food! But when the food arrived the chips were cold! Give the lovely staff their due they took them away and corrected their mistake and was most apologetic! The rest of the evening was excellent. Would go back the lady in charge was brilliant.

Our started arrived, was ok. About an hour after our plates had been taken and 2 tables of people who had arrived ages after us had been served, I went to check on our mains....waitress went to look into it.....5 mins, she came to the table and said they couldn't find our order.....then went on to say they were having probkems with the till and it hadn't gone through to the kitchen.....strange our starter had made it.....gave her apologies and they would rush it through and let us have free desserts for the inconvenience. My husband wanted to leave with a refund but we stayed.

My fish and chips was dry and tasteless and his smothered chicken wasn't smothered....I had the 'free' apple betty, nicest part of the meal ...was very disappointed after a lovely afternoon.

They need to be improving their standards, it's a lovely area and if they're wanting to attract tourists to the location, I wouldn't be recommending it to stay and eat. The staff were friendly and helpful. It wasn't busy

Fryers not working limited menu if you wanted other than Sunday lunch. Furnishings could do with good clean ie chairs n carpets. Ideal place to take Granddaughter for inside/outside play areas tho. BUT why cant you supply kids knives n forks????

Arrived at 1300, placed food order at 1305, food arrived at 1311, can't fault the speed. Unfortunately, our table was missing half the cutlery. If yr gonna operate a restaurant you should train staff on HOW to correctly set a table for diners. Otherwise, Good Service, polite waitress.

Went on Friday for food greeted by a host who sat us down chose our food and queued for 10 minutes to order. As I got to the front I heard the person on the till say there was a 40 minute wait on food. Had it just been the two of us not a problem but we had a toddler so we chose to leave. I always thought the point in having a host was to be given this information before you sat down? Had I been told this at the door by the host we would have left a bit disappointed but understanding. Instead we left feeling annoyed and frustrated at the lack of communication. Sort it out.

*edit*

Upon looking through your reviews it seems you don’t bother to respond to any of your reviews on Facebook so maybe I letter into head office would work better for anybody in the future.

Popped by for lunch for fathers day and a birthday but I had to send back my fish and chips as the fish was over cooked and tough and the child's meal arrived with burnt sausages swimming in far too much gravy. Ordered the G and T trifle which although tasted OK, came piled in a soup dish, didn't look like the image on the menu (a nice dainty glass dish). Unfortunately not worth the money and we probably won't be going back. Staff friendly and helpful though.

My partner and myself visited on the last bank holiday Monday , it was our 3rd visit and will be our last. I have never been overly keen on the chips to be honest as to me they taste like they have been cooked in old dirty oil. On this particular visit , i waited 10 mins at the bar to even order food as there was a big queue and only one poor girl taking food and drink orders. we both ordered burgers with a side of mozzarella sticks for myself and Mac and cheese bites for my partner. The coleslaw wasn't good had no flavour at all the burger wasn't bad and the chips were only lukewarm and soggy not crisp at all. The mozzarella sticks were advertised as gooey..but they weren't , it was like they hadnt been cooked long enough for the cheese to melt even a little bit so was like chewing rubber, same for the Mac and cheese bites. Only good thing was the refillable drink. Such a shame as this is a lovely place with fantastic views over the water with swans all around. Pity the food is really not up to scratch. Hugely disappointed and won't be back!.

11 for a birthday meal, meat on carvery was skimpy to say the least, no carrots, no cauliflower and no peas out, turnip was so sweet we all left it. Took an hour for other food ordered off the menu. Had to ask for the table to be cleared of plates, and glasses. Scampi meal was a disgrace for the price. Was very disappointing, would not recommend, this was the first time we have visited and will be the last.

User

The worst Sunday dinner I’ve ever had. Wouldn’t feed that shit to my dog. At one point about 13 people waiting at the hot counter due to the lack of meats and vegetables available. The company I was with finished what they ate (very very little) before I even made it to the front of the counter. £30 on dinners ! Disgusting !!!!

User

Terrible Carvery, rock hard Yorkshire puddings, which are frozen ones anyway, must have sat in the hot cupboard for way too long, hard stuffing balls, given the last piece of beef, as that was all that was left, surly if thats the case they shouldn't be allowing customers to buy it in the first place at £10 per plate, it had sat under the hot lamp so long it had dried out completely, could have used it as a dogs dencher stick, never again.

User

Ordered 2 mixed grills with the steaks being 1 medium and 1 well done. The steaks came out really burnt (literally looked black in my opinion) and the eggs came out raw meaning the whites were see through which isn’t good whist my fiancé is pregnant. The meat was meant to be chargrilled not burnt. You can usually pick off the grilled parts of the meat but the gammon and tasted like burnt crispy meat. My steak was meant to be medium not black. The eggs and steak were left to one side. Only ate the most because we were starving and not willing to wait another hour for more food. Nearly £30 down the drain and not coming back.

User

Don't waste your time!

Tonight we ordered 3 adult meals & 2 children's. We waited over an hour for the food to arrive, the haddock was rock solid, my knife wouldn't even cut through the batter!

So as a "good will" gesture they offered free puddings. We ordered 2 children's deserts & were told they would be made up instantly, 35mins later they hadn't arrived. A member of staff went to check & the kitchen couldn't find the order!

Quality of food was terrible & communication is dreadful. We won't be back.

User

Came yesterday for a carvery not good roast potatoes burnt to a crisp as so dry in fact others in front of me were complaining and not one person touched them ... never again.

User

Absolutely disgraceful!! Paid £12.59 each for 2 mixed grills and wasn't anything special!! The steak came out practically cremated when asked for 1 medium and 1 well done purposely because I'm 25 weeks pregnant and can't eat raw meat, and the excuse I got given was 'the grill gets used all day and the charcoal is what makes it black' ... My partner ate his purposely because he was hungry and we had been waiting over an hour for our meals to come out, which was especially wrong knowing the table beside us was one of their own workers who came in well after us and still got their food before us.. The eggs put on my plate were literally raw, the egg white also and they served this to a pregnant woman!! The gammon was so overcooked to the point it was literally like eating pork cracklings.. When the manager did come over he spoke down on me as if I had no idea what I was talking about knowing full well I am a trained and qualified chef myself and would never dream of serving food at all knowing it was undercooked or just an utter disgrace!! No refund, no free deserts, nothing but an offer for a replacement meal after waiting an hour for the first one!! Not like I'd except anything more from them knowing how it and out to start with!! Won't be returning after tonight and to say I have bad anxiety and barely like ordering my own food, never mind complaining, definitely says something about the place!! Would steer clear of the place!! Take it from a chef!!
