A good article on wedding dress preservation. We've been hand cleaning wedding dresses for over 35 years, not one dress being damaged or lost. We use special cleaning agents imported from overseas that removes stubborn marks without leaving water marks. The process is very labour-intensive & time consuming but the results amazing, if you bring your dress in straight after wearing. Price £150. Can drop off any time. We clean all dresses except silk. Odette and Sadie at Brides By Solo are amazing! I bought my dress from them with a slightly shorter window than normal brides but instead of making me panic about time they put my mind at rest and helped me find my perfect dress! I absolutely loved the entire experience dress shopping with them and was so thankful that Odette came up with some different style options for me when up until that point I just hadn’t clicked with any styles. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Brides By Solo, I just wish I could do it all over again now!

Odette and Sadie are awesome! They made myself and bridesmaids feel like princesses and put up with all the design issues that came with my picky nature! They supported us with my wheelchair bound bridesmaid, and helped us get her dress looking and feeling a million dollars! As a bigger bride I was concerned about the lack of choice I had seen at other dress shops, but the choices were seemingly endless.



My husband was in awe, he cried when he saw me and couldn’t believe how stunning I looked!

I've been to a few bridal shops when looking for my wedding dress, but I must say that Odette and her team provide the best customer service and care. I'm very happy to have dealt with the shop even after the wedding! Odette has cleaned my dress as there were prosecco stains on the lace that turned rusty orange. I couldn't believe it when the dress was shown to me. It was brand new! Thank you so much! Highly recommended! xx

I went Saturday 23rd October not expecting to be able to try on many dresses as I am a larger lady. To my amazement there was a huge selection of dresses and Sadie was lovely. She made me feel comfortable and made the experience fun.

I has picked out what I would call safe dresses, Sadie suggested trying something different and wow....I loved it. In fact I loved the dress so much I brought it there and then.

I never thought I would ever find a gorgeous dress being overweight but I felt like a princess in the dress and can't wait to surprise all my friends and families.

I found Brides By Solo through google, after browsing the website I had a good feeling that this would be the shop where I find my dress. It was easy to find and we arrived 10 minutes earlier than my appointment, Odette was ready for us and was very welcoming. We were given a drink and then sat down and Odette gave us some background about the shop, she then asked me information about my wedding and the style of dress I am looking for. We were then given tags so that my mum and I could select dresses to try on. Whilst trying on the dresses Odette was picking up on my likes and dislikes in the dresses and selecting some other dresses that I hadn't chosen to try on. This was very helpful. We narrowed the choice down to just 2 dresses. When I put the dress on again I just knew it was the one. From there we looked at the accessories. We were able to take advantage of some special offers, where we got discount on the dress and the veil. So excited to go back when my dress comes in. xx

I cannot recommend this place enough and the service I received from Sadie. I came in to the store in January, knowing I needed to leave with a dress as I was leaving the county in March. So I was slightly apprehensive that I wouldn't find that 'dream dress'. After talking with Sadie about the style I love - mermaid style dress, lace, blush and a lace up back. Totally not expecting to find all of the above in one dress we chose about 7 to try on and the first dress we put on I instantly fell in love with!! I could have stopped trying on the other dresses there and then but my family was with me so for the experience I tried them on. But behind the curtain we knew the first dress was the one for me! After a quick couple of alteration fittings the dress was ready, we married in South Korea in May and I felt so beautiful in my dress. Thank you so much to Sadie for all her help finding me my dream dress :)

I brought my dress from this shop and the service I received was brilliant. Stupidly I had alterations done by someone else and it was a BIG mistake. The person messed my dress up badly and it was 6 days to my wedding. I called Brides By Solo and they were so helpful, told me to come in and they would help me. Well I can't even find the words to describe how amazing Sadie and Grace were! They bent over backwards for me and these girls saved my wedding! Sadie turned my dress around in less than 3 days and it was PERFECT! She is amazing at what she does and my alterations were brilliant! I cannot recommend this shop enough and the dresses they have are amazing! 5 star service all the way!

Hi i came to brides by solo yesterday and i felt so welcome the shop was very spacious and Odette was amazing i felt like a princess and tried on some lovely stunning dresses and still have to decide ( between a few) but its all thanks to Odette for all your help and getting me to try things i probably wouldn't of even looked at .. Fantastic! I was so nervous about finding the perfect dress but everyone was so friendly and helpful they made it a great experience. Highly recommended, especially Sadie that made all my adjustments very close to Christmas to make my dress the perfect fit.

Even though it was quite a trek from my home I went to Brides by Solo in Newmarket because of their range of tea length wedding dresses. I wasn’t disappointed. Amazing, I went originally to hire a wedding dress...I was a larger bride and they bought in 4 beautiful dresses for me to try on. The second dress I tried was the one, the consultant told us that the dress was made for a customer who had since cancelled her wedding and I was the first person to try the dress on. My Nan was with me and said that's the one, instead of hiring the dress she bought it for me, along with the veil and bouquet. 23yrs ago on Valentine's day I married the love of my life ��
