A few monbths ago, my son had a puncture in town and took it here to have a new tube put in at a cost £10. Recently he had a puncture and when we took the tyre off the wheel, we discovered they had fitted an oversized tube and just scrunched it up inside the tyre, and after invesitgating the cause of the puncture, we realised the valve had been ripped from the tube at its base.
I thought this kind of dodgy, lying, cowboy, rip-off bike shop had died out in the eighties. After reading other reviews on here, obviously, they are still at it.

Excellent! New chain and block fitted, great fast service and price. Highly recommended.

Went in for a new inner tube fitting and left with a "buckled back wheel",that showed no sign of being buckled on my 15 mile prior ride to work b4 puncture.it was close to closing apon leaning so I didn't go back to the store was able to bike with the wheel constantly pulling back. Took it fo my local Ely shop where they had to realign the wheel.not happy. Apon risking using him again yest he had a terrible phone manner saying "do what u want",in regards to a question so I did what I wanted & went to Chris' Bikes in Girton. Friendly, quick service and wheel still turns !

BEWARE STUDENTS! They charge £1 to pump up tires! Better off getting service in the market, or anywhere else really!

Bought my second hand bike there, a month later had to go back to get the brakes changed (after i nearly crashed) and month after that because the chain kept jumping down a gear and, now that my warranty has expired, my tire broke over night (when I wasnt using it) and need to pay for a new one. If youre looking for a second hand bike dont got there!!!! Its only 20-30 pounds less than a new bike but without the warranty or the quality and youre going to spend more fixing it afterwards. Either he barely checks the bikes he buys or hes terrible at his job either or its bad!

Had to go back multiple times for problems with the bike he sold me. When asked to fix it the problem, he was rude, but obliged. Now I recently bought a bike lock from him and after less than two months I already can't get the key to turn in the lock.

After three years of using bike repair shops in and around Cambridge, I can safely say this is the best I've come across. Not only has my bike always been perfectly functioning after it has been serviced here (more than I can say for other bike shops), but the service is great too - the guy there is very friendly and actually bothers to explain what's going on to me. And all for a reasonable price!
