A lovely retreat but very basic. Just the one "indoor" shower and toilet and also a block with compost toilets and an open roof shower. Nice in summer, but a bit chilly at this time of year. Did have electric hook ups and a area to have a group fire. Had access to the Thames for kayaking.

Would definitely recommend. We did a charity canoe to Reading and stopped here over night. The owner is so friendly. The breakfast in the morning was lovely too.

A truly wonderful campsite. Run by lovely people. Some may find it a little basic, it really isn't. Outside shower (wash under the stars) and eco toilets. Great for children, lots of places for them to run free, explore and play games. If you're in London and need to escape to the country this is a great place for you. Very close to the river Thames and you can get in for a swim under the bridge, alternatively go to Wallingford where there is a safe, small beach-type area by the bridge.

We've just left this site having stayed there for the fourth time in seven years - we love this site - it's small and basic but has all that is needed for campers wanting a simple, quiet break. It's well placed for getting to Oxford and we even park the car in Didcot and go to London for the day by train! It's also extremely good value for money. Added to all that the owners Phil and Rosemary are very friendly and kind and I love having a chat with them.
A lot of the campers we met were, like ourselves, people who had been there before - I think that fact speaks for itself. We'll be going back again thats for sure.
