I will be undertaking a years course at CSSM (Cambridge School of Sports Massage) and throughout the year I will require volunteers to practise my new skills on towards my 100 hours practise. As some of you are aware, over the busy summer I decided it was time to put right some of the wrongs of the past year. I’ve embrassed a lifestyle change and after 6 weeks the results speak for themselves (stay calm - no revealing photos 🙈😂) but I feel physically, psychological and mentally stronger. Never look back - move forward - make time and achieve! Want to know more - ask me next time!

Looking forward to a day supporting the amazing runners undertaking the SVP 50 / 100 km uktra event. I have supported many of the runners on the start line over the recent months and would especially like to wish my clients all the best in this event tomorrow. Look forward to seeing the 100km runners at checkpoint 2 and 4 and the 50km runners at checkpoint 4. You’ve all trained hard - just go out there tomorrow and believe - You’ve got this! #believe2suceed

Home from a great night supporting the runners at the Twilight 10k - great to have the opportunity to support many clients some of whom had been in this week for prep treatments. Next week is all about SVP 50 / 100. I will again be out supporting the runners at a couple of check points. On a personal note - another assignment passed and I’ve been investing in some personal me time in an attempt to improve my own health and well being. Early morning gym sessions and some diet changes has resulted in my feeling full of energy and on the road to regain some fitness. Whatever your dream / aim - grasp it with both hands - You Can Do It! #believetosuceed

Here’s my story about why this charity is close to my ❤️ I know many of you have read this on my personal page, so apologies for repeating it. 🙈

User

So that was weekend 11 done. The next time I visit the hotel in Cambridge it’ll be assessment weekend. 🙈 it’s been a rollercoaster of highs and lows. The charity fund is now at least £2000. This week I have given a donation to support a clients mamouth event ‘Tour d’Solly’ raising funds for Alzheimer’s. (Dave is biking the equivalent distance each day to the Tour d’France) Team Read have also had some great news that Alastair’s application to Action for Hearing Loss for 2019 London Marathon as been approved, so I will be donating a chunk of my donations to his charity pot. I will update you tomorrow why we choose this charity. Thanks for the continued support and enjoy the last few hours of the weekend. 🌞🌞

User

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve counted up the donations and I’m both chuffed and pleased to announce the donations have exceeded £1500, I haven’t passed any on for a while, but they will be directed to worthy causes soon. This coincides with a treatment count up and I’ve completed over 200 consultations with numerous clients. Just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for the ongoing support. 😊

User

Boom finally completed my log with 100 hours, (have done way over this, but formally logged 101 hours) so it’s time to hand it in at training school this weekend.
Weekend 10 awaits then only one more weekend before finals in September.
All assessments and assignments passed to date and I‘ve decided that from 1st July to increase my suggested donation to £15, this is a stepping stone to my qualifying fees which are likely to be in the region of £30, but this will not be until October and I will certainly give you plenty of warning and looking to have a loyalty discount for those of you that have volunteered throughout the year. 😊( Any concerns re: donations, please do not hesitate to discuss with me as these are just my suggested donations!)

The Read family took part in some pay back volunteering this afternoon helping out a fellow student with her practice.
Helen from Core and More is about the embark on her advanced Pilates training and Team Read enjoyed their first Pilates session in the beauty of their back garden in fantastic sunshine. Looking forward to joining in more of Helens classes when they become available later in the year.

Wow what a session I have just had with Bridget. I was feeling apprehensive about getting my wobbly bits out in front of someone, but Bridget instantly puts you at ease and she is so professional and friendly. She did a marvellous job at getting to the route of my problem and I now feel like I am on the road to recovery. Her advice is spot on and she fully explains what is happening and why. I would throughly recommend her services.

What can I say about this lady? She is just amazing. I'm having on going treatment with her for a glute issue. I'm training for the Manchester marathon and I'm hoping Bridget is going to get me there. Thank you Bridget.

User

Received my first massage today. A wonderful relaxing and therapeutic experience easing my achy muscles from yesterdays run. Legs feel less stiff and so much lighter now. I certainly recommend Bridget's professional approach in a lovely calm and quite location. I will be back!

User

Lovely lady, excellent massage, feeling the benefit immediately. Thanks Bridget

User

Knowledgeable and great follow-up advice. Will be booking in again before Peddars Way.

User

Just completed a 10k race following injury. Pretty sure I'd not have managed it if it wasn't for Bridget's massage, stretching and expert advice!! Thank you sooo much!

User

I went into Bridgets treatment room with very limited head turning ability to the right and came out with if not full, very near to full, range again! Thank you so much! I will be back!

User

I had a massage with Bridget last week and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Been having problems with an on going lower leg problem so acted as a guinea pig for Bridget to practice on.

Felt totally at ease and Bridget was professional and friendly throughout.

Looking forward to the next one.

Thanks.

I had a massage with Bridget last night she was really professional and has a lovely setting. I really enjoyed my massage and she applied just the right pressure as before I have had massages with other therapists which have been painful and uncomfortable. Bridget is very knowledgable about the different muscles and attachments etc. My legs feel fab today! Looking forward to my next run. Would definitely recommended Bridget!

User

Bridget is a living legend, I have new legs and feet!!! Her knowledge is fantastic, thank you so much x

User

Bridget is a fantastic soft tissue therapist. I am fortunate that we share knowledge and treatment swap regularly. She treated me during my marathon training including pre-event, she also treated me prior to a big 200m bike ride, but most importantly she has helped address restrictions and pain with my shoulders. The treatment is effective and pain free. I highly recommend her.
