Bridlington

A credit to British Rail this station is absolutely fabulous

It has parking, toilet, little restaurant, snack and drinks vendors machines, ticket machine (sometimes works accept cash and card and sometimes only accept card) or could get tickets from help desk.

Nicely maintained station, like the hanging baskets and floral displays in the ticket hall and plentiful seating. Manned ticket/information office and ATM. Didn't have time to go to the station buffet but will give it a go next time.

Very impressed by all the flowers, brightens the place up, sitting in the sun in the station hall.

With the town centre on its doorstep, Bridlington Railway Station has a lovely traditional cafe and is one of the few places in the country to retain the old semaphore signalling with its signal box. Unfortunately areas around station in particular the lineside are let down by NR's lack of maintenance.

First time visit for a conference at the SPA, will return to have a proper look around.
