On Friday 24th May the Supersonic Management presents...
“A STUNNING CELEBRATION TO THE GOLDEN AGE OF POP"
“The feel good factor of this show should be prescribed on the NHS!...”
... Yes, it’s the hottest ticket in town! Now in it’s 10th year of touring, the ‘Supersonic 70's show’ has been ‘wowing’ audiences nationwide with a show GLAM packed with all those incredible hits from the greatest musical decade of them all...the 70s!
Led by the ‘Catsuit Wonder Girl’ vocalist Janey Bombshell, this ‘all live’ band delivers a power packed spectacle that will have the women dancing in the aisles and the men ‘air guitaring’ to all those hits from this golden age of pop. From the towering might of Queen, Fleetwood Mac & ELO, through the ‘pin-up pop’ of David Cassidy, David Essex and Donny Osmond whilst foot stompin’ to the sounds of Sweet, T.Rex, Mud and Suzi Quatro you won’t have time to catch your breath! Taking you on a tantalising trip down memory lane with timeless classics by The Carpenters, 10cc and Elton John, the band even add in a touch of ‘Grease’ and the Eurovision song contest all played to exquisite precision.
It’s no wonder it’s being called, “the greatest 70's show in theatre land”
So bring a strong pair of lungs, a splash of ‘Brut’, your widest flares and favourite 70's outfit, as it is time for you to live out your childhood memories once more on this glorious rollercoaster ride of 70's nostalgia. It is simply the most FABtastik show you will ever see!

**Coming this July**
Described as “The best Bon Jovi tribute band in the world” Wrong Jovi are a 5-piece look-and-sound-alike tribute who deliver a concert experience like no other.
Frontman Ally Ward’s soaring lead vocals transports audiences back to the days when Jon Bon Jovi was the greatest frontman on the planet while Mark Harding provides the virtuosic fire and passion of Richie Sambora’s superlative guitar skills.
... They’re joined by keyboard wizard Simon Tabert – a classically trained pianist who portrays the role of David Bryan - while the thunderous rhythm section of Tico Torres and Hugh McDonald is provided by Jon ‘Alex’ Sturgeon (drums) and James Houghton (bass), two fantastic musicians with a wealth of experience behind them.
Since their formation, Wrong Jovi have taken the tribute circuit by storm, regularly selling out established music venues and theatres around the UK. They’ve even been personally thanked by former Bon Jovi guitarist, Richie Sambora, for the work they do.
With their attention to detail, stagecraft and natural charisma, Wrong Jovi never fail to turn every venue into an arena. Greatest hits such as ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’, ‘Wanted Dead Or Alive’, ‘Always’, ‘Bed Of Roses’ and ‘Bad Medicine’ are mixed with live favourites such as ‘Blood On Blood’ and ‘Raise Your Hands’ to provide a high octane journey through the bands back catalogue. And with rarities like Dry County and This Ain’t A Love Song to please even the most die-hard fans there really is something for everyone.
This is a class act and to extend the night we also have a fantastic supporting DJ until late

We hosted our first Family Halloween Disco at the Civic in October. The venue was fantastic and the staff were lovely! Plenty of accessible space, great party atmosphere!

We also attended the Dexter gig last week which was brilliant! So nice to have a local venue that is offering a wide variety of events!

Looking forward to the magic of the musical this Friday plus other brilliant acts! Believe me you will never Want to go to the river rooms or other venues again try this place for the best entertainment and where the drinks at the bar are the best price around

Thank you for a great night Saturday! A group of us came along for my friends birthday (I was also lucky enough to win 2 tickets!), we had a fab time

User

Love this place, seen quite a few really lovely shows here, great place, drink prices are really good too. Xx

User

It was my first visit to Brierley Hill Civic Hall last night and had a really great night. It's lovely to know there is a local venue on your doorstep you can have a great night out at. I will definitely be returning in the future.

User

I had my wedding reception there 7th July, I can honestly say that I never expected it to look as wonderful as it did. They really took our ideas and made it phenomenal. The staff were attentive and polite and I never saw them without a smile on their faces. Friends and family from both sides were impressed. We had a live band and a DJ, organised by Trevor and, again, was pleasantly surprised by them. People were up and moving and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

I cannot express how thankful I am to the team at the civic for just how fantastic and memorable they made our wedding reception. I would absolutely recommend the civic as a venue for weddings and indeed any other party. It has a beautifully sized room and when dressed it really does look grand and elegant.

All of the staff there are worth their weight in gold. They really did well in keeping the place clean and tidy as well as serving drinks to family and friends. A special thanks goes to Trevor as he really took the lead in organising all of the detail and even making my cake! He did all of this to the highest of standards which reflects in the end product. It helps that I believe that he understood what we wanted and could see how it would look. We planned our wedding from a distance and he allowed us to relax as he had everything in hand and assured us we would be happy with it, which we were.

A million times, Thank you

User

Have been to two works Xmas party nights there now. 2016 & this year. The room looks stunning and all the staff are friendly and pleasant. The food was plentiful although could perhaps have been a little warmer but given the amount of people to serve it’s a credit to the staff for it to be as hot as it was!

Bar prices are reasonable too and the music was great all night.. suitable for the varied ages of the guests! Well done to all involved

User

Had our Christmas party here on 21st . Excellent evening. Food was very good and ours was hot and plentiful. Great music and will be supporting the venue during the year many events look inviting. Well done to all the staff x

User

Great venue, went to see Greatest showman the other night and it was fab brilliant tribute to all the songs from the movie. Tickets were a bargain price for the show too

User

Brilliant venue and been going there for many years since meeting my wife and family in the 1970s. Also my 2 daughters both appeared on stage there in their teens in pantomime and dramas before going to university

User

Always have an amazing time at the Civic Hall. Loverly bar staff and ornate decorations; generally, a fantastic night out with the family every time.

Absolutely fab night out

Deffo need to get rid of the plastic glasses cause your pint just don't taste the same lol

I don't think the sort of ppl that go are about to start a riot lol

User

Went on Thurs night to see Dusty & the shades of the 60.s.

Had a great night. Dusty was fab & the young trio shades were brilliant . It was a brilliant show. The only complaint was it was due to finish at 10 pm & finished at 9.20pm. so very disappointed the show was cut short as it didn't start till 7.30. so with a 15 Min interval. It ran only for 1hour 35mins in all. A very short show.

User

Went to last nights soul again...music great as usual...but why change the dance area ?... Far too many seats for soul events in my opinion & seemed I wasn't alone in my thinking...if friends go as a group & some dance you stick out like a sore thumb sitting there on your own...chattings difficult with someone 4 seats away...chairs too close together to move...far better the way it used to be just seats down the sides, if you want a seat go early..easier to stand with friends, if you're left on your own you don't stick out like a sore thumb then.... How it is now its more like a working men's club/pub...

User

First time at the civic..watched guns n roses tribute act. Venue itself fantastic..in my opinion to large for the amount of people there. Not your fault I know. Atmosphere poor. Even security guard by stage at one time looked like he was falling asleep..seriously. left at interval

Disappointed with the comedy night 18.5.18. Bought tickets expecting Jason Byrne as the headliner. Didn't know the other acts but felt it was worth the risk seeing as though we'd still get to see Jason. Announced at the start of the show that Jason hadn't made it. Already queued for 25 minutes to by drinks and paid in advance for tickets. Wasn't what we were expecting. Comedy was OK but to be honest we wouldn't have bought the tickets for just those acts. Sorry but we felt cheated. Sent messanger message to raise our disappointment, message read but had no response

User

Sorry....i have spent many a great night at The Civic. But......the DJ wasn't really what was expected on such a mixed night. He focused on the younger element of the room. I would recommend a night out the civic as far as the food and service is concerned.......however the entertainment professionals used really needs to be looked at. Thanks

Have been to two works Xmas party nights there now. 2016 & this year. The room looks stunning and all the staff are friendly and pleasant. The food was plentiful although could perhaps have been a little warmer but given the amount of people to serve it’s a credit to the staff for it to be as hot as it was!

Bar prices are reasonable too and the music was great all night.. suitable for the varied ages of the guests! Well done to all involved

Had our Christmas party here on 21st . Excellent evening. Food was very good and ours was hot and plentiful. Great music and will be supporting the venue during the year many events look inviting. Well done to all the staff x

Always have an amazing time at the Civic Hall. Loverly bar staff and ornate decorations; generally, a fantastic night out with the family every time.

Sorry....i have spent many a great night at The Civic. But......the DJ wasn't really what was expected on such a mixed night. He focused on the younger element of the room. I would recommend a night out the civic as far as the food and service is concerned.......however the entertainment professionals used really needs to be looked at. Thanks
