User

Well what can we say!! We absolutely loved our santa experience! My 3 year old daughter and 10 year old son both enjoyed themselves and found santa to be absolutely fabulous! We were really lucky and had a lovely group with us also! Very easy to get caught uo in the magic of it all as an adult! Really made our christmas eve magical, thank you to all the staff at brigg. Two happy kids =two happy parents!

User

We took our three children to see Father Christmas on Christmas Eve and it was the best “Santa experience” we have done!

Our son in previous years has been so nervous it’s always ended in tears and we nearly didn’t bother at all this year but the group setting and friendly elves was perfect! Father Christmas was brilliant, his knowledge of the kids toys and the time he took to individually speak with the children was perfect and everyone loved the presents coming down the chimney! All three of them excitedly ran over for their presents and couldn’t wait for photos taken with him! Thank you we will certainly book again next year

User

We have been for yet another good year seeing santa..it has to be the most magical experience to date..we brought children with disabilities and they was brilliant with each and every one of them..small groups no big queues what a brilliant idea run so smooth aswell..my child who has always been so scared of santa this year finally went over to him close up.so thank you Brigg garden centre you never disappoint..merry Christmas one and all x

User

We had an absolutely brilliant time this year, definitely the best we've been to yet! It was particularly good that we went in in a crowd, it made the kids more relaxed so that they enjoyed, and participated in the experience much more. Mr and Mrs Clause were really good and made us all laugh and the decoration making was a really nice touch meaning that we'll have that momento to stick on the tree for years to come and remember the experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wondering whether or not to do it next year!

User

We had a fabulous gammon salad in the restaurant! There was a super mix of salad leaves, the gammon was perfectly cooked and lovely and thin (gammon is far too often served thick and chewy), the beetroot was not too vinegary which meant you could saver the taste. Coleslaw.....I am so often disappointed with coleslaw. It can be too runny, too sickly, but not this coleslaw! Superb it was, and plenty of it! The homemade bread was just scruptious.

The surroundings were very clean and despite the warmth outside, it was lovely and cool.

Finally, the staff were so friendly and full of smiles.

We will be back!!

User

Lovely garden centre with a brilliant restaurant with a quick service and wide variety of food. There is a great variety of goods to buy. There's also an amazing outside play area for the children.

User

I'm from Brigg and take my Gran here pretty often. This Sunday there were a few issues to do with queue's that effected my visit and the amount of time I was in three different ones that I wasn't happy with. The manager (Sally?) took the time out to sit and listen and resolved the issue with empathy and some free drinks vouchers. Cannot fault the staff or the food quality. It was a busy day and a few people grumbling but this was outside of the norm for the Garden Centre, there are never staff sat about doing nothing and they are always very amenable and friendly.

User

I cannot thank Sally in the restaurant enough. My son had an autistic meltdown, they had just stopped serving breakfast and he wouldn’t have anything else. She was so accommodating and understanding as he was quite distressed. Sally and the team did him an adapted veggie breakfast. Thank you so much for helping a stressed out mummy’s outing much easier and diffused quicker x

User

I attended the children’s activity day today with my 6 year old little girl. She loved everything about it. Very good value for money (we bought the £12 wristband which covers doing all the activities).. as we left she said “mummy can we come back again lots”... All staff were welcoming and friendly. Xx

User

Great garden centre, the biggest children's play area I've ever seen at a garden centre, kids loved it! We went when the May half term craft activities were on, very good value £13 wristband 5 crafts, mini train and unlimited goes on bouncy castle! Cafe very nice and great food. Lots of stuff to buy, garden home crafts toys pets etc. Good day out!

User

Best Garden Centre we have ever been to. Well organised with outdoor heavy purchases paid for outside with excellent customer service too. We paid for 8 bags of compost at the till and drove our car directly to it outside and it was loaded for us! The centre is a real treasure trove - we will be back very soon x

User

Beautiful garden centre , spent almost all of our time at the play ground because went with kids . Nice cafe area near the play ground , staff are friendly . High light of the day have to be the nice coffee and yummy ice cream before go home . Would definitely go again because spotted a few of my favourite plants walking pass by !

User

Absolutely loved the activity day today!!! The ladies were amazing at helping and explaining to the children how to do the activities. Very well organised by all and great value for money! Thank u so much we have had a ball!! We shall be back for the next activity week- keep us posted! Worth the travel (we came 50mins) x

User

We love Brigg Garden centre and visit every year at Christmas. We spend most of the day there and there's lots to see and do.

We paid for the Santa's Grotto experience this year which was magical. Best experience of visiting Santa we've had yet.

We got to make baubles and reindeer food with the elves and sing to wake up Santa, then visited Santa and Mrs Clause which was magical. Santa looked amazing and interacted well with all the children. Each child gets their own present from Santa and individual photo opportunity. The presents coming down the chimney was fab. The toy we got was pretty decent and he also got chocolate, a badge and a ticket to ride the train.

Overall it was a fantastic experience and for £10 great value for money. It seemed well organised, we didn't queue for too long and all the staff were very enthusiastic.

I have two suggestions that would make the experience 5*

1. Offer one to one visits / sibling or friend group visits as not all children do well in a group setting with strangers. It didn't make it clear on the website when booking that it's a large group experience.

2. Make sure all parents are asked the questions about their child's recent achievements etc as we weren't asked and it made the experience for our little boy slightly less magical than for the children of the parents that did get to share that information.

User

We found Brigg Garden Centre to be very clean and spacious with a great deal of choice. We stopped for a coffee in the Gardeners Rest and that too was very good value for money. Only went in for a look around and to waste some time but very glad we did. Will definitely be back.

User

I visit your super garden centre on a regular basis and it's always a treat. yesterday I visited with my daughter and granchildren for the half term activity day.Esme and Sam loved it! Good value for money especially with the play area outside. We also had a delicious lunch and coffee whilst we were there, a great time enjoyed by us all, thankyou and we will visit again xx

User

I would just like to say that we visited the restaurant today which had a huge selection of cakes etc. Upon asking the lady who served us if there were any vegan cakes, she said 'no'. I was very surprised given that there are many people around now who are vegan. There is another garden centre just a few miles away that has a very good selection of vegan cakes etc so we will be going there in future. I'm sorry Brigg garden centre but in this day and age I really thought you would cater for vegans.

User

Very dissapointed with the grotto experience today. My husband finished work early to suprise the children from school and they were so excited. The skinny santa had no idea how to talk to children. Was quite rude to an older boy about being too old. Read the message about my boy wrong and many other names wrong. Talked about trumping, the list goes on. It was just not personal enough either and sat listening to 12 other random children about what they want for christmas is boring for the children. Received a refund but really not enough for ruining what is meant to be a magical experience for children.
