Brilliant Bikes

Just had my fork and shock serviced at brilliant bikes, quick turnaround and friendly service as always.

Outstanding customer service. Placed an order online and was actually called the following day advising me that one of the items was out of stock and there would be a slight delay. My order then arrived in a very timely manner. I thought that kind of service was a thing of the past, but they clearly care about their customers. Will be using them again.

Brilliant! Very quick turnaround. My bike was serviced in less than 24 hours. A minor problem developed later on and was corrected without extra charge.

This feels like the Emperor's New Clothes... I am a known online customer and have previously spent several hundred pounds with Brilliant Bikes. I placed an online £110 Brompton order on Saturday of the Bank Holiday weekend with a note asking if it could be delivered by the next Wednesday. No response. At time of order 1st class delivery was the only option (other than collect from the shop). Later the same day I phoned to ask if delivery would be ok. The guy I spoke to was totally disinterested and unfriendly and said I should have chosen "next day" but when I pointed out there wasn't that choice he kept repeating "there should have been" like I was an idiot and it was my fault. He said I could pay extra for "next day" or it would be sent as normal on Tuesday 1st class and it "should" be delivered on Wednesday. Despite living only 80 miles from BB none of their 1st class items have ever arrived next day. They could have easily sent my item on Saturday and THAT would be good customer service. Despite the positive comments about the walk in experience the online experience is standard order processing with no personal service despite the smiley face on the invoice. All Brompton items are the same price everywhere so why use BB? I decided to source the item elsewhere and cancel the order with BB. When I called there was no thanks for my order, no understanding that I made a request for a real reason, no desire to provide a genuinely good service, no engagement, in fact I felt like a nuisance!. Very very disappointing. Brilliant Bikes would do well to heed their own advice; "push yourself".

Dropped my Brompton for a complete service (more like a rebuild actually) on Friday - collected my bike on Saturday morning. Fantastic job, bike feels better than new. They also "forgot" to charge me for a brake pads. Would definitely come back - 100% recommend! Great service and super-friendly and honest staff.

Went in on a Saturday afternoon in need of an emergency repair and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Did everything they could to ensure the bike was ready to ride as I was leaving for a holiday the next morning. All at very short notice and very reasonably price. I would recommend this shop to everyone.

Just collected my Intense Spider 29er. Custom built by Michael Bradley. He has a great wealth of knowledge. Kept me updated with the build.

I found i had slow puncture just before leaving for my much coveted weekly mountain bike ride in the surrey hills. Desperate not to miss out i dropped into Brilliant hoping to buy a new tyre, but better than that, they had my bike straight up on the stand, mended the puncture on the spot, at no charge meaning i didnt miss a minute of my ride. Brilliant by name and service to match. :) :) :)
