Some context for this Saturday:
Joe visited GIANT STEPS a few weeks ago, and it's further to that visit that he personally wrote the text for this Facebook event, setting out his agenda having seen the space he’ll be playing in, and having been given free reign to play whatever music he likes, whether that’s dance music or otherwise…We also know that he’s been able to pack a specific bag of records with this Saturday in mind, and although we don’t have any idea about what he’s going to play, or how the evening will pan out, we do know that there’s definitely an intention to do something of real meaning….Hope to see you there this Saturday. apart from a sound system to nerd out over, superb music curation from djs across a full-spectrum and delicious food, the staff are chill and welcoming - it's one of my favourite venues in london to play, eat and have a little dance.
What an amazing night! So much fun with friends! If you don't know anyone here you will get to know peeps if you come!
What a great little venue... reasonably priced, great decor and atmosphere... perfect for the classic album Sunday event I attended. The back room made for a great place to listen to Okay Computer! Will definitely be coming back!
There is. I more fun and intimate place in all of Blighty. Whenever I'm over....this is my hang
So much love for this venue and the amazing people behind and inside it <3
One of my favourite eateries in London. The grand sound system provides the perfect backdrop to the space, and the food is top notch. Staff are friendly, and the drinks are well mixed.
Mixing up the crowd with genuine dance vibes - I might have rocked the shop
Great sushi, great wine and a meeting point for music lovers
Great evening yesterday. Friendly staff and delicious food x
Delicious food, exceptional wine, a varied selection of ale and fantastic music played via one of the best sound systems I've ever heard. Brilliant Corners ticks every box, you really won't find a better venue in London right now. Keep up the good work guys!
Brilliant sound quality, brilliant ambience, brilliant djs, brilliant sushi, sashimi and nigiri and a brilliant drinks list too. Just worth going for reading the drinks' menu alone (seriously!), especially the wine section..
Brillant food, brillant wine, brillant sound system and record selection ...
A very lovely place in London.
The sushi and wine are delicious, and of course the great sound system & top fresh djs and bands regularly compliments the bar/restaurant very well.
Best regards,
R. Paris
A new concept Food-Music-Atmosphere, where to enjoy the experience from the first sip of a cocktail to the last song along a surprising menu of Kay Suzuki, very friendly staff, amazing sound equipment, big artist & a magic touch of the Patel brothers. Love is in the air.
A blissful oasis of Japanese delicacies served in convivial surroundings. An audiophile, community chill-out space for the discerning Jazzheads and the vinyl junkies.
Amazing sushi at this place, and the most incredible raw desserts I have ever eaten, plus seranded by soulful tunes played out by the DJ. Cute venue, friendly staff.
Really not brilliant corners. Shitake mushrooms more like shit-take it or leave It mushrooms! Also compulsory service charge with bad service. Also bad bog in the toilets xoxo. Ps don't tell please tell stop dancing when we are clearly living xoxo
We were looking forward to coming here as there are little to no Japanese restaurants in Hackney.
Apart from the wine and the tofu starter neither of which we came for we had an all round disappointing experience.
The sashimi was far from fresh, felt slimey in the mouth and had a musty after taste. Avoid at all costs.
Of the two sushi rolls the tuna was average and the salmon was oddly cooked. Wouldn't order either again.
I will however say that the tofu starter was delicious and the wine selection interesting.
The staff unfortunately were very inattentive, seemed to have poor knowledge of the menu and lacked basic customer service skills.
For the price we paid for our meal you can have far better Japanese food in London.
