Would like to say a big thank you to Carol Bullman (Irish Carol), we had not prepared documents and she supported us to get them printed which saved our holiday and she even walked them all the way to our gate, which was a fair walk. Went above and beyond to ensure we had a carefree start to our holiday. What a lovely lady, would definitely use Bristol airport again!

Just have to say what a great experience we had yesterday at Bristol Airport. My 30 yr old daughter has ME and is going through a relapse at the moment so we requested Special Assistance (which included a wheelchair and being taken to the plane by mini bus). All the staff that we had contact with at the airport were so friendly and helpful but Laura & I would like to say an extra special Thank You to Julie & Pete from the Special Assistance team, who went out of their way to make our airport experience a good one. Well done!!

User

Amazing airport staff, especially for ASD young person travelling with us, fast tracked us through security with the use of a hidden disability landyard xxx Thank you guys it’s made a massive different to our start of the holidays . #autismawarenessrocks

I've been using Bristol airport for flights to Spain at least twice a year for the past 15 years. Yes, I know that's only just over 30 outbound flights, and yes, there's the occasional, frustrating glitch - but given the fact that it is a busy, popular airport I think the staff are doing an excellent job. I love being able to book Fast-track security - especially if I'm travelling alone. Keep up the good work - see you soon!

I have to say Snow White and dwarfs would not have filled up on these 'special breakfasts'. Seriously, not only was it tiny with 5 potato pops, sausages the size of my little finger and some strangely some shaped poached eggs, but the waitress looked like she would rather be anywhere else. We have had a niightd out with fillet steak for less. 3 breakies, 1 burger, 2 coffees, a coke and a small hot chocolate on it's own £3.20 ,for the total cost of £71.20. Oh and for good measure they add on 12% service charge on the bill for you. How nice of them. You should have seen Andy's face.

User

What a poor show. Expected to pay £2 to use a trolley at baggage reclaim. When I complained the excuse was that it is not the airport providing the trolley, it is is an outside company. Who presumably are there in conjunction with the airport. I refused to pay. And got a trolley. Nowhere else I fly to charges like that in arrivals. It is shabby in the extreme and we won't be back. (not to mention the half hour traffic queue to get out on a Sunday !)

User

The checks going throw for family’s was so shit up to when had them in different places, they have kids playcots to put toddlers in as staff check so toddlers nice and safe, but not at Bristol, they wanted to check me yes fair whatever they said where’s the other adult with you to hold my baby, I don’t know can’t see my mum she’s gone to get are stuff they then make me put my baby on the floor to go into that machine, I had to leave my baby crying on a dirty used floor anyone could of just picked her up, they wouldn’t give me five more mins for my mum to notice she to come back to help, they didn’t even get a never staff to go and get my mum to come and help, 3 staff and all make me out my baby on a dirty floor because wanted me done and sorted I was happy to wait next to them as see others, for my mum to come back, sort it out it’s Bristol it’s meant to be family friendly it’s 2018 for fuck sake, my child could of been kidnapped due to your staffs doing, because I had to leave her on her own to go into that machine, yes had staff around but I don’t fucking know them, no one knows them yes they passed there crb check to get the job, but don’t mean they ant that way, it’s takes 2 secs for a child to go missing, and lucky it wasn’t that time, but it can happen and the way your staff make parents do that is so out of order it will happen,

Possibly to worst airport in the uk, not had one return trip via this airport without unnecessary hassle

Returned from Rhodes @ 03.10 the only flight in and to wait the best part of two hours for our baggage

Returned from Cyprus early hours last September, this must be one of the only airports in Europe without a taxi stand, instead they have contracted to one taxi company that can’t supply the required service, had a wait of over 2 hours with young children as we hadn’t prebooked had the same a few weeks ago

Used the silver parking, the free bus that’s supposed to run every ten minutes failed to turn up for 50 minutes nearly missed our flight

The management need to take a long hard look at there very poor customer service or be replaced with people capable of doing the job

This is my local airport but I think I’ll start using Cardiff airport

User

On return from the holiday we followed the lane that said family’s with children under 12! The benefits of this I struggle to see it means me walking 3 times further than everyone else, with a child who was asleep and no buggy as that comes on the carousel! Getting to the passport check area to fine to cue how lovely! But the zigzag barriers were up when we asked if we could just walk through we were told no follow the path! What a total waste of time thankyou Bristol Airport! Then when we went to collect the luggage you have to pay for a trolly because we have extra bags as we have children. So not family friendly if anything it feels they don’t want family’s there!

Having booked a holiday leaving and returning to Bristol Airport, I used the airports silver zone parking, what a laugh! All was going well until my return, why do you bother to ask about children then park my car at the furthest place, having left my husband with the bags and daughter at the main area, there is no way of returning to collect them!

Sum up do no use Bristol Airport if you are going away with children! Total disaster and horrible end to a lovely holiday.

User

No drinking water to be found in any toilet I tried, no indications on any map. Come on, it's 2018, unacceptable and unethical (and idiotic) to make everyone buy water in unsustainable plastic bottles after security

User

Just had an excellent 2 week holiday in Croatia, only marred by returning to Bristol today as they appeared to have only one baggage handler on shift, waited nearly 2 hrs to get our bags back, wondered what they had to say about that

User

It’s meant to be the first step in your journey to a namazing holiday. But the staff are some

Of the worst customer assistants I have ever seen. Rude and slow at their jobs. Every step throughout the airport was followed by a rude staff member. Need to take a page out of other airport service.

Isn’t it about time that decision makers at Bristol Airport listened and acted on the feedback they have been receiving for a long while now? We flew out Monday June 18th 2018, returning June 25th. This was my first experience with using the airport, and will be my last! We arrived for our outbound flight in the very early hours, even then the drop off/collect areas was crazy. What a mess. We needed some breakfast only to find to find very limited food selections, massive queues with staff unable to cope. It was a zoo. On our return luggage took 1 1/2 hours to come through. Four conveyor belts were empty with hundreds of frustrated customers waiting with no explanation for the delay. Once again the passenger pick up area was unbelievable. There’s no one there to direct traffic, it’s just a free-for-all.

Someone at the top needs a good kick up the rear end to sort out the mess. If I was him/her I would be ashamed at service being provided under my direction.

I went to Barcelona for two days with work and to my disbelief my case was not offloaded from my return flight. The staff managed to locate my case in Glasgow and arranged for it to be returned following their procedure under these circumstances.

My case was returned to Bristol from Glasgow on a flight which arrived at the airport at 4.00am (delayed 3 hours), and offloaded onto the carousel despite the bag being unattended.

4hours and 17 minutes later my case was stolen from the carousel. Police identified the suspect and had made an arrest. The suspect had most of my belongings but discarded what they didn’t want. I had enough stuff in my case to clothe myself for 2 weeks. I had important work related documentation in my case which had been discarded.

The assistance I have received from Bristol Airport Police has been excellent. It is unfortunate that professional attitude and precision is not adopted by staff throughout the airport, and I am reluctant to take my business there any time soon.

I could say a hell of a lot more about the comedy of errors at Bristol Airport with regards to their incompetent staff! Please be vigilant when you travel. God knows what happens to our cases and how they are handled after check in!

User

I travelled from Bristol to Alicante with my 88yr old partially sighted mother to Alicante. I requested special assistance on booking. We arrived at the desk to be greeted by the escorts complaining about the number of passengers they had to help on the plane and they would be late for the next plane. On embarking the plane it was boarding we were pushed and jostled, this also included wheel chair users. As you could imagine my mother was very up set. On disembarkment I was asked not to accompany my mother and had to fight to stay with her (Alicante). On the return journey at Bristol I had to drop our cases from the parcel shelf and let them free fall onto the floor, this whilst being watched by captain and crew. Never again will I travel from Bristol or with Easy jet. All staff in airport and plane were rude and had little respect for those needing help through NO Fault of their own.

User

First time flying from Bristol, my luggage did not make it to the airport and the customer service in trying to get it back has been absolutely dreadful! Promised it yesterday, didn’t turn up, never answer the phone, don’t return voice messages and I now appear to have to resort to driving back there to attempt to locate it. With a four hour round trip I am not impressed and with their lack of communication who knows if it will be there. Disgusted. First and last time for Bristol airport.

User

Bristol used to be a lovely, friendly airport but my recent experience was anything but. Perhaps we were unlucky because there were a lot of delays on the days we travelled. On the way out, the airport was completely overcrowded, not a seat to be had. But at least the staff in the lounges were polite and tried to help - unlike the people in the security check who started shouting at anyone who wasn't quite fast enough. Rude and condescending. The return was even worse. Again, plenty of delays, we didn't arrive until almost midnight. Crowds of tired and exhausted passengers were herded through the new (?) automatic passport scanners which didn't seem to work in about 2 out of 3 cases (I was one of the lucky ones but my husband wasn't). After being shouted at for being too stupid to use the wonderful system, people were then told sarcastically to join that "very short queue over there" (another 15 mins wait) where they were again treated rudely. I watched one young family being shouted at because the mum didn't quite understand the instructions the security person had barked at her. What a welcome to Britain. Truly appalling.

Arrived at 5 am on 19/07/2018 for a flight at 07.05, had priority security pass to ensure we had time to eat an drink before the flight; first port of call was the Cabin Bar where we were told it was a 30 minute wait for food. We accepted this but made it clear we were on a tight schedule with a flight to catch (it is an airport after all?).

We sat, chose what we wanted from the pricey menu and then watched a pantomime performance of walking around without doing much, several apologies and we'll be with you in a minute quotes and then eventually when the waiter arrived after about 15 minutes he apologetically informed us that they would not be able to serve the food with enough time for us to eat it and make our flight - imbeciles from top to bottom. We ended up in the Burger King where the stench of unclean fat and spilled drinks was rife. The staff at the Burger King were like the walking dead and had no awareness of the extended queue of people waiting for food. Compare this with the experience on the return trip at Krakow Airport - table service, orders taken within minutes; coffee and fruit juices took 4 minutes to arrive and freshly cooked scrambled eggs with bacon, fresh bread with jam and honey came another 4 minutes later - all for under a fiver a head. Bristol Airport - you really need to look at the concessions you have let space to and lean on them. The Cabin Bar needs an injection of adrenaline and the Burger King needs to be expelled. Most of the other outlets have queues that are too long plus completely over priced - try and see if you can get Pret-a Manger interested - Birmingham Airport has this and it is just one example of a better experience when it comes to grabbing a quick meal before a flight

User

Absolute shambles!! How it wins awards for anything is beyond me. 4 flights & only one luggage carousel in use with more flights coming in. People with babies & young children just wanting to get home after a long flight, some still with another journey to do before they finally arrive home.

Couldn’t run a **** up in a brewery!!!
