Congratulations to Andy Poon and Adam Geere who both completed their qualifying cross country flights in the beautiful weather we enjoyed across the UK today.
Adam and Andy are both pursuing commercial careers so elected to do more challenging cross country flights to meet these requirements.

We have just heard that sadly the RAF Red Arrows will not be parked at Bristol Airport this year for the Weston Air Day as in previous years. We certainly hope to see them back again in the future!

Another successful ground school session was held at Bristol and Wessex this morning covering Operational Procedures and Navigation. Navigation was voted to be the toughest subject yet and so we were delighted that everyone electing to take the exams on the day passed with flying colours !!

A three month trial is to be conducted to assess revised procedures for the control of VFR flights within Bristol CAS. The trial will establish a one-way flow system for VFR arrivals and departures. We had another successful ground school session yesterday with all eleven students passing Principles of Flight and Communications exams. We also received some great positive feedback from students who commented the ground school was fun, engaging and great way to learn and pass the exams.
