Dodgy dealer !

I bought a Mercedes E280 cdi £5800 which has loads wrong with it!
I took it to an independent Mercedes specialist for a health check and estimated £950 worth of repairs & yet despite my best efforts Ben wouldn't acknowledge these problems saying the garage was touting for work! & that even tho the discs are scored causing brakes to squeal & pulls to one side! He reckons brakes were perfect when it passed mot back in March!
Two of the parking sensors need replacement at £270! "that's not a mechanical defect so he refused to pay!
Cant list all problems not enough room!
He offered to pay a fraction of the repair estimate then didn't reply for ages £158 for an oil leak & faulty glow plug to be exact as he said these are mechanical issues! But that was a very late in the day after id already had work done and paid! it was only a token gesture to try & prevent me leaving negative feedback!
BUYERS BEWARE he doesn't list cars truthfully & like me you could end up with a headache! & loads of extra repair bills & he couldn't care less!!
I could have accepted £158 paltry payment from him to stop me from telling the truth! but it wasn't worth taking it it as not even touching the surface of total repair bill! better to let you know to be cautious when buying from him! Now Turbo blown £2150 to replace rang warranty people and it turns out the so called "comprehensive" Warranty he gave us has a £500 max liability !! Ben is a rip off dealer pure and simple! I can only hope our Solicitor can help?

Outstanding service, care and attention from a good, honest family firm who ensured the experience of buying my first 'future classic' was everything I hoped for. I'm now a proud owner of a beautiful V12 XJS thanks to Ben and his father at Britannia. After a 180 mile drive home and then a thorough shake down by my Jaguar Specialist in Surrey we managed to find a small oil leak and a problem with the accumulator plus a few niggles which I was prepared to deal with. However, Ben saw differently and asked me to give his details to the specialist so that he can be invoiced for all the repairs, which Britannia paid for (a pretty sum) without me reaching for my card! Its clear that reputation really mattered and they wanted me to 'feel good' about my purchase. It certainly did and for me, it put Dinnington on the map! Thank you Ben and Ian.

I can't thank Ben enough. Fantastic service from start to finish. I would definitely recommend to my family and friends or anyone looking for a car.

My experience of buying from this father and son business really couldn't of been better. They are friendly, straight talking and really know their motors. Got a decent price part exchange for my old car and drove away in something I am very happy with. Cheers guys
