Stop moaning. I had a great stay and before others write a negative review just remember what you paid for a hotel in a central location. It’s fair to say that the style is entirely out of the 1870’s with a host of leatherette furniture, scratched dark wood and worn carpets but the food is absolutely fine and unlimited. There are plenty of staff though those in the restaurant are more focused on keeping things flowing smoothly than providing a la carte service. You’ll like the gym and pool and it’s probably free in your package. The reception is smooth and efficient in a large well laid out hall and the bar is spacious with good views right over the water. Just wise up; if you want 4star then pay for it but this hotel is cracking value.

I stayed here in August for one night, i got a free room upgrade which was unexpected but lovely. The room was very clean as was the bathroom and my bed was very comfortable i had a brilliant nights rest after a long travel, the staff were lovely and welcoming. I didn’t have breakfast in the hotel so I can’t comment on that but i would definitely stay here again

User

Nice on reception, helped us a lot being a disabled person, gave us a really nice early check in.

Room near the lift.

Great service.

Food looked amazing,

Great pool, rest areas.

Thank you so much.

Will be back soon

User

Massive room overlooking the Thames delicious breakfast very friendly staff and a perfect location for visiting the O2 just one stop on the tube

User

We had a lovely stay. Bed was comfy room was clean tv didn’t work we reported it they said someone would look at it dont know if they did as when we got back to our room in the evening tv still not working. Breakfast was nicely laid out all the staff were friendly overall stay was good we will use hotel again great for the money. The only thing we didn’t like was the freeze dried coffee.

User

Good location. Staff were helpful. Bar prices were hideous. Room was ok. Rather dated decor and no heating control/air conditioning made it hard to be comfortable. Buffet style breakfast was disappointing. Poor quality ingredients cooked badly and very basic service. Hidden charges appeared upon arrival. Room booked for two but only included breakfast for one person so had pay extra for partner! Parking was reasonable at £21 for 24 hours. Tube 5 minute walk.

User

The place is a turd. The room I was given was dirty, the carpets were stained, wallpaper had some strange stains and was peeling off the wall. To cap it all there was a large clump of pubic hair in the corner of the bath. I asked the reception for a different room and the manager said he had nothing available until the following day. I did no more than return to the room and took photographs of some of the issues before returning to the reception whilst a large group of tourists were booking in. When I described the faults in a fairly voluble manner to the receptionist and made it clear that I was not going to stay in the hovel they had given me she agreed that she wouldn't be willing to stay in it either. She disappeared into the office returning a few minutes later with an alternative room.

I hate poor service and also do not like liars. To top it all the manager didn't even have the courtesy to come out of his office!!

I have never been so disgusted by such abysmal service anywhere in the world.

User

Room was dated, wet carpet outside bathroom, a mix of three pin old fashioned plug and modern plugs, all of which were in obscure places. We were on 4th floor and shower took your skin off no good for youngsters. It did what we needed it to at the time but would not return.

User

Old, tatty, dated hotel. Beware of inside rooms with no windows. Shower was either really hot or cold. Breakfast poor and not worth the money. Would not recommend

User

It was ok, room was clean but dated, nothing shone out. Didn't use facilities so can't comment. Air con was soooo loud! Just used as place to put head down after day, evening out around docklands. Did notice that rooms were a bit cheaper if bookedlast min, so that might sway us if needed to go again.

User

Executive room is far from executive and I'm a traveller. Needs a refurb and bed was awful so uncomfortable with cheap pillows and bedding, furniture is dated but would look ok if was tidied up this is the same overall through hotel however liked the chilled atmosphere in the bar and restaurant good prices and food and fab location so still enjoyed our weekend. Staff nice too.

User

Wow - got charged £140 for a really really poor hotel please do not stay here - from the outside it looks grand but it has not been decorated or touched in years - it smells in the hotel - rooms are awful - broken decor - very damp and humid/hot (this was in March no idea how you would feel in the peak summer months) The gym to use it you have to pay £4 - really poor facilities (Gym staff were friendly) the jacuzzi when sat in you can see a hole in the roof - the stairs leading to it are filthy - the breakfast was awful. Work being done in the hotel 7am loud noises and banging.

Bed was terrible rock solid - small TV on a high wall cant even see it.

Only good thing is the location right next to Canary Wharf station etc.

User

UNSAFE PLACE TO STAY. Someone entered our room while we were out and went through our bags and took a bottle of wine and few other items. I went to the hotel room on my own not long after midnight, as my partner had nipped to get something from his car. The person who went into our room could have still been in there when I returned so I felt really unsafe. I was told by reception that the balcony leads to all balcony doors so if the balcony door is not fully locked then anyone can enter the room. No warning of this or how unsafe it is. Put a complaint in and chased response but they have not replied to myself as yet. Also view from room was a building with workman looking into our room while banging away from early hours

User

Total crap hotel, worst hotel I have been to. No AC, furniture from the 60’s with complementary cigarette burns, walls falling apart, bed that felt like the floor. With no windows!!! And the AC not working we asked for a fan and we ended up with a dirty fan which didn’t work. I would have been better off sleeping on the street in a sleeping bag.

User

This is in a pretty prestigious area of Londons docklands adjacent to many high end hotels and lots of attractions, however this hotel may dissapoint if you dont want rooms full of weed smokers and its interior and lounge etc was ran down and tacky, i wont be back to this place in a hurry

User

People stay away from this hotel ! Never had so much stress! Staff are ignorant won't do any solution for you to make you happy! They don't accept cash payment ! If they do you need to pay £100 deposit per room . They don't provide full information about payments and make you look like you are stupid !

User

One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in! Bed has given me back pain which I now need to be treated for. Rooms are shabby and dirty. Service is dire. Wouldn't even let my dog stay here.

User

Location is good but the services are pathetic and not worth the amount they are charging, even wifi is not included in the services, yeah you can just have 2 free 20 min sessions, forget about free brunch/breakfast.. Even no toilet slippers.. The furniture in the room is very poor and old.. Well the only good thing about it is its location from outside!

User

Here now. Old. Run down. Not terribly clean room. Dirty and marked walls. Worn carpets on staircase which is a safety hazard.

Seems terribly complicated to get an open tab at the bar. Expect far more for 150 pounds. I make frequent business trips to London. This place is off the list.
