User

We love coming here have visited a few, very friendly and great site our kids love it, the toliets and other facilities are clean and tidy and we love the fact we can have a camp fire and toast marshmallows and keep warm :) see you bank hoilday weekend :)

User

We have just had a wonderful weekend staying in the yurt and tipi - The sun came out, the kids had a whole field to run around in, great pub close by, the fires atmospheric, the loos clean, the showers hot - we couldn't fault the place and we will definitely be returning :)

User

We have always been so happy bringing our family and meeting friends at the site its a lovely setting, nice clean site and great facilities if you are wanting peace and tranquillity with your family in a safe and beautiful setting that's nice and clean with professional staff that are helpful you need look no further than Britchcombe farm.

User

The most wonderful campsite in the world. No matter how busy it never feels crowded. Amazing scenery with a great choice of areas to camp. It's close to the south downs/ white horse National Trust area : good for a picnic with an amazing view

User

Stayed for a weekend in a big family group......rained on and off all weekend but the campsite was a lovely surprise......a hidden gem.

User

Really nice, out in the sticks, friendly campers, lots of room. Nice little cider shack round the corner that's reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

User

Love this little gem of a campsite!

Not for you if you need entertainment and lots of facilities! However, it was perfect for us. Leisurely arrival time and departure time. Plenty of space. If you wanted a field to yourselves you possibly could have had one. Definately not on top of one another. Plenty of porta-loos that were clean, not smelly and well stocked. Water tap available in the field. We only had to cross the road from the field we used to get to the showers (free!), washing up sink, fridge and freezer and proper flushing toilets from the field. Being able to use a campfire was lovely and great experience for the boys. Would definately stay here again!

User

If you want a regimented, lifeless site with a club house, this isn't for you. If you want a site with the option of camp fires (all our evening meals were cooked on one), set in the most picturesque countryside, with warm and welcoming staff, with pubs a healthy but not demanding walk away, and the option of cream teas on your doorstep, then look no further. Deserves 6 stars

User

Great place to camp, open all year round so did New Year one time. In spring we enjoyed the tea room and each time loved the campfire option. Good hike to White Horse, toddler friendly 3km ish or I.

User

Fantastic campsite run very well, excellent facilities, great value, good log service, the cleanest porta loo's on the planet and stunning views! With the added bonus of a tea room with singers performing ! We will be back!

User

Fab campsite, we stayed in the beautiful field below the white horse and it was so vast and lovely huge amount of space. Campfires a massive bonus, we cooked all our hot meals on them and kids had lots of fun. We’ll be back.

User

Excellent site. Lots of space, choice of fields / views, a friendly chap selling wood and a nice lady (complete with cute little dog) to check you in and help you find where you are going. We will be back

Brithchcombe Farm Campsite is a cross between wild-camping and Glamping. I loved the hot showers and the toilets and portaloos were clean and well kept. The best part is being in a field (there are four field to choose from) with views of Dragon and White Horse Hills and being able to have camp fires. The Teapot tearooms, are also on the farm, a welcome bonus on a Sunday afternoon.

Uffington village is a beautiful half an hour walk away through fields and woodland (some of the Stiles can be a bit challenging if you have mobility problems) or a short drive away. There is a small shop there and Pub that has good food I am told.

I hope we get to come back!

User

Beautiful place, we had the best weather, portie loos were clean and stocked up ok, and the tea rooms did an amazing cream tea!

The fire pits were a highlight that the kids loved to toast the marshmallows and plenty of room for them to play football or Frisbee.

A short climb to Dragons Hill where the kids loved hearing the story of where the dragon was slain and no grass grows lol x

User

We visit annually with our friends and love the simplicity of the site (and the cream teas!). Always a laid back experience and the kids play safely all day long and they love cooking over the camp fire. Bit shocked at the one loo per field this visit - wondered if it was a permanent or seasonal cut back??

User

This place is wonderful to camp. The fields are clean and there is loads of space. The lady that "checks you in" is pleasant, as is the fire wood man. If camping food does go wrong, then pizza is available.

The toilets in the camping fields are portaloos but actually they are kept very clean.

My only criticisms are that sometimes it can be hard to book especially if the person who deals with the bookings goes out. Also the fields are mostly on a slope.... you choose how steep.

On the plus side, it's right next to the White Horse monument, they allow camp fires and supply the wood and kindling for £5. Kids love it!!!

User

Lovely campsite. Clean and well cared for. Only really thing that let it down was the severe wasp problem and the disappointing roll and coffee from the farm cafe.

User

Great place to stay, you can buy fire wood from them & have a big fire, kids love to toast marshmallows, lots of space to play games, afternoon tea at the farm with lovely home made cakes & scones, great walks around the white horse & two local pubs are also in walking distance. If you want rural & not haven holiday pm this is the place for you. Happy camping. X
