About British Arts Festivals Association (Bafa)

The British Arts Festivals Association (BAFA) is the leading network and development agency for UK arts festivals and its membership includes a broad variety of organisations across the UK of all types and sizes, ranging from the BBC Proms to Ventnor Fringe Festival, St Andrews Voices to Between The Trees. BAFA is working to support its members and the arts festivals sector during the current pandemic through direct support, facilitating member interaction, online webinars and meetings. BAFA continues to lobby for the sector, in partnership with organisations across the UK and Europe including Creative Industries Federation, sister organisations AFO and AIF, the European Festivals Association and Europe for Festivals, Festivals for Europe. There has never been a more important time for festivals to work in partnership, to stay connected and to speak out for the unique role that festivals play in the UK's cultural ecology.
