The British Hypnosis Research and Training Institute was originally founded at the University of Cambridge in 1979 as a research association. In 1986 we decided there was a need to provide an ethical and professional vocational training and qualification to people seriously interested in training in this rewarding field and we were the first organisation to teach Ericksonian Hypnosis courses in Europe. Our online distance learning training has evolved from the respected training courses established by us in many British hospitals and universities over this time.
