The governing body for the sport of model aircraft flying in the U. K. Representing 36, 000 members and 840 affiliated clubs. The company was founded in 1922 as the Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers, but introduced the British Model Flying Association as it's trading name in 1987. Benefits provided to members include Civil Liability and Personal Accident insurance, comprehensive Members Handbook and 6 copies of the BMFA NEWS magazine each year.
