British Youth Music Theatre is the leading music theatre company for young people aged 11-21.

YMT is the UK’s leading music theatre company for young people aged 11-21. Founded in 2003, it quickly established itself as a leading national youth arts organisation, with a presence across the UK and a reputation for innovative work, offering high quality training and development for a thousand 11-21 year olds each year. Now an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation, its principal purpose is to offer talented young people a bridge between school or local music theatre and formal training at drama school. Its full range of work extends from working with young people (some with no previous experience) in socially disadvantaged areas to short courses at postgraduate level for those starting professional careers.
