Hi FB Palls!
It's what you've all been waiting for: July's edition of the monthly newsletter for you all to read, like and share ๐Ÿ˜€
Don't miss out on reading about our upcoming ward panel, due to be held on the 24th July at Holly Saviour Church, St Saviours Road and the various surgeries and street briefings we have lined up for you all.
... We also have some awesome #goodnews stories, including the teams run of finding stolen motor vehicles and taking them off your streets ๐Ÿš˜ ๐Ÿ›ต
Talking about vehicles, we have some crime prevention advice focussing on theft from motor vehicles. Definitely worth a read, especially with this hot spell of weather and that 'one time' you leave your car window down ๐Ÿค”
Now that's enough from us. We hope you all enjoy this month's edition ๐Ÿ˜ Oh and the football (whichever team you support! โšฝ)

G'day Facebook fans!
Here's our monthly #newsletter for you to peruse, download and #share!
Sorry it's late, but it's still up to its usual high standard for you!
... In this edition, we have our usual #GoodNews - ranging from arrests, to court results, just to give you a small insight into the many things we do!
We've also listed a couple of free crafting events that take place this month at Broad Green Library, located on Canterbury Road in Croydon. These are great for your little ones (or even yourself!)
We've also decided to reintroduce our Street briefings. Since our ward boundaries have changed, we thought we'd give it a try and see what uptake we get with locals and residents in the area
And lastly, we've also re-hashed information for awareness into reporting your concerns via the Met website - www.met.police.uk
All in all, we hope that you've found some of this useful, and feel free to spread it far and wide! If there's something you'd like to see differently, we'll also take feedback!
Happy #June! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Like other criminals, terrorists need to plan. If you see or hear something unusual or suspicious trust your instincts and ACT by reporting it in confidence at gov.uk/ACT

Just a couple of items we've found whilst being out and about ๐Ÿ˜ฃ
Parents/carers - if you are concerned about your child's behaviour, have concerns about what they get up to, or even recognise the machete in the photo, you can always contact the police, or seek help through other agencies and charities that are aimed at youths
There are many programmes out there that teach safety, or are aimed at directing youths away from crime and gangs, but we need your help to do so, as we'...re all in this together
If you know anyone else who carries a knife or weapon, but you're afraid to talk to us, you can always pass on information anonymously to such charities as Crimestoppers or Fearless.org
We must all work together to ensure a safe environment for all, and responsibility falls to those who look after youths, or engage with them out in the world. We must educate everybody in the perils of carrying a knife

Have you got one of the years worst passwords?
Source and image: www.welivesecurity.com
Research has been conducted that reveals many people are using passwords that are too easy to guess, or are common words easily guessed . . . and we hope you're not one of them!
... Over the years, we've all become aware of hacking scandals and fraudsters online who love nothing better than to try and get their way into someone's online accounts and use information stored there for their own evil motives
SplashData have looked over 5million passwords that have been leaked by hackers previously and found commonly used passwords you MUST avoid! We want you to make sure you don't have one of the top (i.e. worst) passwords in use to protect anything you have online!
Here's the top 30!
1 - 123456 2 - password 3 - 12345678 4 - qwerty 5 - 12345 6 - 123456789 7 - letmein 8 - 1234567 9 - football 10 - iloveyou 11 - admin 12 - welcome 13 - monkey 14 - login 15 - abc123 16 - starwars 17 - 123123 18 - dragon 19 - passw0rd 20 - master 21 - hello 22 - freedom 23 - whatever 24 - qazwsx 25 - trustno1 26 - 654321 27 - jordan23 28 - Harley 29 - password1 30 - 1234
There are obviously more to that list, but as you can see there are probably some passwords that you use contained in that list, or someone you know (like a family member) that uses them - These are all easily guessable, and they're already going to be contained in a programme used by hackers to attempt to access online accounts, in addition to more common words/sequences, and dictionary words
If you feel that you, or another, fit into this category of having an easy password, we urge you to do what you can to change it and make it unique - you could probably even consider finding a password manager for your computer that stores the passwords for you, and generates very difficult to crack codes for you!
Spread the word, and we hope you find it useful! Remember, you can report fraud online at www.actionfraud.police.uk
