Come fly fishing for rainbows, blues, brown and tiger trout. Tuition available for beginners. Hire your tackle here if you are holidaying in the area and fancy casting a fly. Our on-site tackle shop has everything you will need for a good days fishing, and more! Refreshments can be purchased from the fishing lodge, or bring your own.

The promise of a beautiful weekend at Broad Oak. Forecast looks great with light high cloud and settled conditions. Record sheet is testament to how well the lakes are fishing. Montanas, damsels and even a sunken daddy-longlegs! Give the fly-box an airing!
Spring is springing here at Broad Oak! Beautiful day. A little less blustery. Those venturing out should be rewarded with great catches - some lovely fish coming out.

Changes at Broad Oak! Conversion of the lodge to accommodation has begun, sooner than anticipated! So this means that things are a bit topsy turvy until we have the new Fishermans Lodge sorted. No refreshments available at the moment. Fishing still great and we had some great catches over the weekend.
Another perfect day at Broad Oak! Fabulous fish out today and in shirts sleeves too! Weekend weather is looking good for try with the buzzers - there must be a hatch or few coming off. And the hammering has stopped - Chris finished the barn this afternoon - epic work rate!
Some mornings just have to be shared.....
The forecast this week looks great for fishing, no rain, no frost, light winds to keep a ripple on the water. Blue sky even peeping out between the clouds.
It might be a bit windy, but the fish are biting and moving around the lakes well. No need to cast out far!
And again! Closed due to ice this morning. From today the temps rise and we will be fishing again. Those who took the chance Saturday morning did well.
ICE! Sadly, having cleared yesterday the cold night caught us out again. CLOSED TODAY. SORRY!
Open! The water is nearly back, the ice should be gone completely by lunchtime. Plenty of space this morning anyway. Water like crystal - stealth mode required!! Tight Lines!
