About Broadland Flyball

Broadland Flyball is a fun and friendly dog training club located in the village of Upton, near Acle in Norfolk. Beginners & new members welcome.

Broadland Flyball Description

Flyball is a fun sport for any breed, any size and any age of dog. So long as your dog is generally fit and over 12 months old it can play Flyball – although it does need to be able to retrieve the ball and bring it back to you! The dogs are released by their "handler" (i. e. you), race over 4 hurdles, retrieve a ball from the Flyball box, and return over the 4 hurdles, and deliver the ball to their handler.

We train outside on a large open playing field, so a good recall is essential. We welcome dogs of all shapes, sizes and abilities. Training is personalised to each individual dog and they can progress through the stages of the training programme at whatever speed suits them best. The main focus of the club is enjoyment - both canine and human.

Training takes place 7-8pm every second Tuesday (weather permitting) throughout the summer - starting in April, and ending at start of September each year. Please see events section for dates. In wet or very windy weather we may have to cancel. Members who have provided contact details will be notified, and we will update this facebook page.

Fees for the 2020 season are a £5 joining fee for new members (this helps cover our public liability insurance costs), plus £1. 50 training fee for each session attended.

Think it might be a fun activity for you and you dog? Come along and watch a session, or bring your dog and give it a try! There is no pressure to join at your first session and newcomers are always made welcome.
