About Brockhill Country Park

Brockhill's lake, woods, meadows, picnic and play areas – along with the excellent Brockhill Café – make it a great spot for a family day out.

Brockhill Country Park Description

Once part of the estate of a Norman manor, Brockhill Park has a central lake, open grassland and meadows, and all the facilities you need for a family day out, including a picnic area, a play area and refreshments at the excellent Brockhill Café.

The park is rich in wildlife, including marbled white butterflies, green woodpeckers and carpets of snowdrops. It is also a local wildlife site and has 3 distinctive areas to explore:

the deer paddock is an attractive grassy area featuring trees such as the walnut and the variegated sycamore
the lake is a shady oasis for wildlife fringed with overhanging trees, where ducks can be found paddling around its edges.

£1.50 to park all day!! Lovely Park, lots of hidden adventures. Facilities to have picnics and even barbecue benches. Adventure playground, gets very busy though. To finish the day, a visit to the cafe, very reasonable, good healthy veggie menu, nice people serving and generous portions. Coffee is sublime. Very enjoyable day out.

User

Wonderful find! Had a lovely afternoon walk with the grandchildren. Café nice and food was excellent, and staff very nice. Will definitely be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed today's open day, there was so much to do and all the staff were so friendly. Can't believe it was all free and you could take your items home with you. My (almost) 4 year old just loved it all and did everything, stream/lake dipping, toasting marshmallows, pyrography, beading, crafting, clay making, painting and drawing with natural objects. The cafe served gorgeous food and all reasonably priced. There are loads of picnic benches if you decide to take a picnic and there's a really good play park. A brilliant family orientated country park. Parking is only £1.50 for the whole day so a bargain. We were there for 5 hours exploring the park, streams and fields, it was so enjoyable. We will be returning but with the Labrador next time. Thank you to all the staff for a fantastic day out.
