Without a doubt the worst county court customer service. The phone just keeps on ringing! Shame you cant give zero stars.

Agree it is not a good service but they do sometimes answer. I called at about 9:10am and got through after 6 minutes.

Lazy people get the money for free .

Called at 3.40, voice mail, my call very important but not answered. Reached 4.05 and court closed!!

Awefully poor service... no one answers your calls

The telephone rang for over an hour for three days, still no answer. Not a good court to use.

Privatized corporation law is here to stay. Time to rise up.

the phone is never answered. other courts actually pick up the phone. avoid this court. just look at the number of 1 star reviews.... says it all.

Staff there are doing their best and try to help , but the fact remains there is not enough of them and cuts to the Courts system by the Government has made it even worse than what it was before.

In my opinion, its the Judges you should worry about. If they can be bothered to even see you be prepared! Forget legal aid and forget being represented in Court if you have no money ( that includes full time workers) Just know that the maximum your going to be in Court for is 4 Hours if your lucky? So that's 2 whole hours each for both sides to put their stories across to a Judge that may or may not be listening? (Dont forget County Courts are called "Recorders" in the legal Law world so everything being said is recorded hence why i say if the judge is listening?

So 2 hours of chat - for something you may of been waiting two years to put across? Spare the detail! Spare the facts there is not enough time just give lip service and point to one or two documents. if possible depending on the case bring a witness. A Witness is like a Substitute in the Premier League as soon as you use them you get given time added at 90min. In this case its reversed so you would lose 30min so it can be a tactical approach for you, and i mean a member of the public to win their case?

Dont get caught up on the ability of the Judge and their lack of knowledge, because no one is going to do anything about it! They are not tested on their social skills and awareness? For Example, a Judge asked me to bring my Passport to court the following day on a two day hearing so he could check my travel between the UK and another European country (in the EU). I asked..."How would you do that Judge?" He responded " By checking the stamps inside your passport pages. Now this has not happened for over 10 years and just proves how out of touch this Judge certainly is, when it comes to travel. We spent 30min debating this joke of a topic but they are the judges its their house and they make the rules up and nobody is going to do anything about it! SO dont get caught up with the Judges inabilities!

Lastly, Local authorities generally live in County Courts so expect bias decisions so take my advice and be prepared! its ONLY two hours on any one day at court. Remember the facts you want to point to and number them in your file so you can point to them for the Judge. Thats it! its not TV where there is a panel its just one Judge and your opposition. Remember Local authorities make many errors because they are lazy and never really expect a fight so use that against them. They, Local authorizes are NOW locked into fees with their solicitors, gone were the days were they would just be frivolous with public money and pay whoever for legal assistance. SO if your unfortunate to lose your case and dont want to appeal then the court costs would be reasonable to pay back in installments of course. Better than wondering what if?

Yes they take time to pick up their phone if at all that is true.

Yes paper work can go missing.

Best thing is to travel to the court in person you will regret it if you dont.

I was advised by the court on phone to not come to an hearing as the papers work was not serve to me properly by the other party.The next thing I received from the court is threat to sent me to jail because I did not come to court. this is totally unfair, how can they do this?
They are the one that advised me to not come . its totally unfair. The person I have a dispute with his an ex tenant that signed a contract that he decided to breach on the same , his a lawyer and I feel the system is protecting me because his a lawyer. I had only unfair experience at bromley county court. it can be issue with tenant or builders, you are always wrong no matter what.
