🌟 Update 🌟 I’m super pleased to say that I’ve been given the go ahead to get back in the saddle in a weeks time, and with that comes the exciting news that Charlie and I have been selected to ride the Big Tour at Keysoe CDI 🇬🇧 in March, as always, is such an honour.
I can’t thank Anna Ross - Elite Dressage enough for keeping my horses going for me so that this is at all possible 💕 Get me back to my babies ASAP!!!

Well said Levi! It’s a sad time for our sport, people seem to forget that not everyone is perfect and we’re all learning and striving for our best. These snap shots in time are not only damaging to individuals confidence and mental health, but to their careers and futures.
Always be kind 💕

A few days ago, Beth did a lovely post about supporting each other in this industry. Today I had a ridiculous and frankly bizarre accident that means I’ll be out of the saddle for some time.
Thank you hugely to Lauren Hall for coming at such last minute to take my horses off my hands. Anna Ross for being there and forcing me to be sensible and possibly preventing further damage.
... All the support I’ve felt today has been huge, and is a prime example of what this industry needs and the good it can do. I cannot thank the people around me enough for the offerings of help and well wishes 💕

Does anyone in Herts need a super, wonderful, reliable groom? With me out of action for a good few weeks Lauren Hall is in need of some work 😩

User

In need of HGV driver for tomorrow or someone with a 4.5 they can drive my two in. I’ve had an accident and can no longer drive myself (I’m fine mostly 😂)

Great week skiing ✅ Managed to remain injury free and looking forward to hitting the ground running when I get home. This week I’ve got 3 days training, with a combination of Anna and Isobel Wessels, so I can’t wait! Looking forward to focusing a bit more energy onto the Special ahead of the international season 🇬🇧

"Unity is strength. . . when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved."
Little team talk with Anna Ross - Elite Dressage, we like to visually run through my test before I go into the ring. I tell Anna exactly what I’ll do when, it helps me to remain focused in the ring when every movement is broken down in my mind.
What do you do to help yourself perform at your best?

Looking forward to the start of another week, hopefully my face continues to look this this ⬆️ A quick glance at the weather has me hoping 🤞🤞🤞

Day 3 of Addington HP Guess was so the best he’s been so far, it’s so great he’s come out each day and got better and better! He really let me think about the test today rather than just worrying about him underneath me! Still lots to improve on, but I can’t ask for much more than a clean test at this stage 🥰

🌟 Fabulous few days at Addington HP 🌟 Guess did lots of good things, he’s still green at this level but he demonstrated his talent in some lovely movements. I was also really pleased with the progression from day 1 to 2!
Charlie, was as ever a CleverBoy!! He did a lovely GrandPrix, he really held his own in a huge class, earning 66.8 % He’s still got more to show in the ring which is exciting!
... Thank you as ever to my amazing team! @l.hallequine @claudiajwatkins @elitedressagellp 💓

Hope you’ve all had a Happy New Year!
Sorry I’ve been a bit absent on here, I had lots of lovely time off over Christmas and NY with my loved ones 💚
Back in action today though, the horses arrived home from their stay at @elitedressagellp and I’m feeling refreshed and ready to kick on! ... Addington is only 4 days away, I can’t wait to be back out 🦄
I also have some exciting news coming soon... watch this space 📸

As 2019 draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the past year.
I feel I’ve had a great year, and didn’t feel that I’d particularly had many things thrown at me. Looking back, there were many challenges throughout the year that I’m really proud of myself to tackling to the point that I didn’t really even notice doing it at the time.
Having had two really successful years competing internationally at small tour and u25, I found the move to GP to be a huge learning curve. Y...ou’re at the top of the sport, but your only just beginning all over again! Mentally for me this was the toughest thing. The knocks, the low scores, mistakes after mistakes. God if anyone saw me after Wellington HP balling my eyes out in the car park I’m so sorry 😂 Sticking at it, trusting the process and not loosing faith is HARD when mentally you feel defeated - and honestly, I felt I wasn’t good enough. Anna told me that it’s that, that makes people quit this sport, it’s not ability it’s mentality.
I left behind my support blanket and moved the horses home. This was a huge move, but one that’s been so beneficial to my horses and me as a team. It’s hard doing it all on my own, and I certainly had to learn to accept some help and find a balance, but I wouldn’t change it for the world.
Getting Guess, training with him and watching him develop and get stronger is such a wonderful journey. I have so much to thank Charlie for, but being able to do more of the training myself this time around has been so fun and rewarding.
Finishing the year by gaining my international qualification is just amazing. It’s left me going into 2020 with so much drive and positivity and I can’t wait to take it all on. Here are some photos of my favourite 2019 moments 💕

Your attitude is a choice. Winter is tough, it’s dark, it’s cold and worst of all it’s wet ☔️ Keep a positive mindset, enter competitions, create goals and give yourself things to look forward too!
