good food and real ale. Friendly atmosphere
Very friendly place, good value drinks and excellent quality food too. Also dog friendly in the bar area.
Very good food. Even better staff.
The tall staff member reminded me of basil faulty, dry but great sense of humour. Returned a few nights later for another meal, served by more great staff.
Very relaxing, non rushed but prompt service.
Very close to scafel pike and the Stanley Ghyll waterfall.
The hotel was very accommodating for our group of 15 (pre-booked), and most of the waiting staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of beers and food (and whisky, although I didn't try it myself) and the location was pretty spectacular and a five minute walk from the campsite we were staying on to boot!
Friendly pub, serving a wide, varied selection of beers and ciders. The bar menu has plenty of choice, and there is a good range of dishes on the specials board. Beyond the bar area is a dining room, although this wasn't in use during our visit. Outside is a small beer garden at the front, with a reasonably sized car park at the back.
Nice pub, friendly staff and great food. Only a 2 minute walk from the miniature railway. Great selection of real ales!
Lovely pub in a great location. Vast (and I mean vast) selection of whiskies. Can get very busy.
Dropped in for a drink after long walk and before returning on La'al Ratty railway. Have eaten here previously and really enjoyed the food. Specialise in local Real Ales, well kept.
On this occasion just dropped in for a lunchtime drink. Excellent range of local real ale, all well kept. Staff very friendly and efficient service. Have eaten here in the past and the food is very good. Comfortable bar and great atmosphere.
