Another sunny day at Brook Meadow and we are busy creating secluded pockets of meadow and mown grass for camping by planting no less than 170 meters of native hedging. New zones will be denoted by a hawthorn, maple, hornbeam and pretty dog rose mix for a cosier and more private camping experience. The hedging will provide shelter, designated parking zones and also more homes for wildlife. We have allocated a generous play area and reduced the number of grass pitches available so please ensure you book well ahead to avoid disappointment.#biodiversity#working farm#campsite landscaping

Brook Meadow have been proud sponsors this season for Kettering Phoenix Women’s Basketball Team and they just made us even prouder by winning the league in style!!
The team was undefeated all season and last night they played an epic and deciding final game which saw them come back with defence, superior fitness and skill from a worrying 14 point deficit in the second quarter to finish with a thrilling and convincing 40-62 win. That’s a massive 36 point come back. Impressive stuff to the end.
Well done ladies!

Jasper is busy working on the mounds for our new organic playground. We love the idea of 'natural play' and we are working towards Brook Meadow being a great place for children to come away from their computer games and find enjoyment through the environment without prescriptive play equipment. Watch this space for further updates.

User

What can I say awsome, first time we have been what a lovely place great facilities and very clean, our 2 children 13 and 6 loved it soon made friends with other children on the site nice walks and was great just chilling out watching the gliders coming in to land. We have booked again for July and if they are open Christmas might book for that

User

What a fantastic little campsite, stayed here last night with my kids and had a great time. The facilities are excellent and well maintained. The lady who runs the place was really polite and helpful and made us feel very welcome. We'll definitely be coming again!

User

Well we do we start this site is a little gem my family absolutely loved it here. Vanessa made booking the stay very easy. We stayed at the weekend for a few nights.

The site itself is very peaceful and the toilets/washing facilities are very clean.

The fishing lake is big and stocked very well in fact during my stay I signed up to be a syndicate member as I loved fishing here also watching the glides take off as there is a gliding club next door

Just down the road in welford there is a pub which does Sunday lunches which were lovely

We will definitely be visiting again

User

Well returned yesterday from yet another great camping experience at Brook meadow such a wonderful peaceful place with outstanding facilities great fishing lake and friendly staff. This place is clean tidy well maintained and always making improvements on the site although it's already pretty much perfect. Can not wait to go back

User

We went here 2 weeks ago. And plan on going again this weekend and hoping to bring family in June too. It is a beautiful field and a beautiful fishing lake. The new toilet and shower block is lovely and clean. I also love the old toilet block with very private individual toilets and fantastic family shower rooms that are bigger than my bathroom at home. The old block is dated but it is had all that makes camping easier. There's even a microwave and kettle and fridge. The lodges look amazing and the pod is basic but on a beautiful position near the lake. We are hoping to try out the fishing too. We had been to an other site 2 weeks previously and it had flooded with no where to set up that wasn't water logged. We've heard all camp site have struggled in the heavy rain. We were worried this would be water logged too but we were impressed with the drainage of the field. It rained while we were there but it dried so quickly and there was no evidence of cars and vans ever being stuck the weeks before so can see this is a lovely dry field. In the last place all the landrovers and tractors had to pull everyone out of the mud. I can't wait for the weekend.

User

We went August bank holiday weekend and absolutely loved it that much so we went back another twice, it’s beautiful the amenities are great and always kept clean and tidy. Cannot wait till the spring more camping and watching the men fish.

User

We store our old VW campervan here and if we don't have time to travel far at the weekend because of various commitments we will book a couple of nights on site, as it means driving just a few hundred metres and we're all set.

Even though this site is so close to home once pitched you feel like you are a thousand miles away. Booking is quick and simple, thanks to the efficiency of Vanessa in the office.

Facilities on site are good. Toilets and shower facilities are clean and well maintained. The campsite is pretty much the only one in close proximity where you have a washing facility for dishes, which even with a camper is essential.

You can take a walk around the site and will get to see lots of local wildlife, locals fishing and admire some impressive tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes...you get them all here. And of course you can admire the gliders descending overhead into the gliding centre next door - I counted close to 40 on one day because of the fantastic weather!

Overall this is a lovely site that I have seen mature in many ways over the 5 years I have been storing my VW camper here. And a lot of that is down to the investment that can be clearly be seen here. Highly recommend if you're looking for a simple and relaxing weekend away...whether close by or faw away!

User

We love it here. Gorgeous setting away from it all. Plenty of space for the kids to play and good shower block facilities. It's only about 5 miles from our home but we don't feel the need to go further afield when this amazing campsite is on our doorstep!

User

We have just returned from our very first. A ping trip in our brand new tent. Other than the initial hiccup which was resolved very quickly, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the trip was a complete success.

The setting is beautiful and we had a great time walking around the lake and watching the planes and gliders fly over.

All the staff/owners are very friendly and helpful and all of the facilities are very clean.

We will definitely be going coming back hopefully in the next few weeks.

User

We have been going to Brook Meadow for around 11 years now firstly in our motorhome two or three times a year favouring pitch 1. We have always found the site clean and tidy despite sometimes at weekends being very busy. We then decided to hire the large lodge for a family treat during February half-term school holidays we of course chose the coldest week of the year but the lodge was cosy and it was lovely seeing the site in the winter and yes the boys still fished and still managed too catch!! Since then we have returned sometimes in the van sometimes in the lodges (have been in them all except the new one) and enjoy each stay. Just returned home tonight from 8 days in lodge 1 and will be back very soon hopefully. A well run family friendly site!!

User

We had a wonderful stay at Brook Meadow the first May bank holiday. It is a beautifully situated site-great location and the setting itself is beautiful. We stayed in the skylark lodge over looking the lake-it was fab. The kids could play safely on the deck and grass in front of the cabins and we walked the dog-and kids-round the lake as well. We will be back

User

We are here yet again at Brook Meadow, have Been coming here for a few years and watched the site develop. Very clean and well maintained lovely friendly staff nothing too much trouble . Not a fisherman but the lake always seems popular and well used, very nice walk around the lake. The site is well situated for Mkt Harborough and Foxton Locks both only take about 15 minutes drive away. We will be coming again on a regular basis.

User

This wonderful place is so great to stay at especially if you have kids and dogs! A really relaxed vibe where you are free to unwind and do your own thing, at the same time as having spotless modern facilities. Keep up the good work Brook Meadow, we will be back!

User

This was our 1st visit to Brook Meadow and we were very happy with our choice. Lovely site, spacious, peaceful, very good clean shower block, and dishwashing facilities. The fishing lake was really pretty (hubby will bring his rods next time!). The fisherman's lodge right by the lake houses extra showers, kettle, fridge, iron/board, seating and a selection of books. If you want a peaceful spot.....this is it......we will be back for sure.

User

Just returned from a 3 night stay in our caravan on this lovely relaxing site and will certainly be returning. It is in a beautiful location with a carp lake and plenty of grassed areas for camping & children to play. The amenities block was constantly cleaned throughout the day and basic essentials can be bought from reception. There is a small airfield nearby and we enjoyed watching the gliders and light aircraft flying over. Worth noting mobile phone reception is very poor on site and in the surrounding area. TV reception was also poor.

User

Just back from an amazing week at Brook Meadow! I was talking to the bailiff and he was saying some people have questioned if there are fish in the lake. I can assure you there is!!! I had 145 fish over the week with a total weight of over a 1000lb.....can't argue with that. No doubt will be returning again next year.

User

User

Brilliant service, stayed in the pod, right by the lake and they even lent us a hook up ,solar lights are very effective, only tip would be bring a mattress topper or blanket could feel springs in double bunk .sofa bed mattress comfy, so we put that on top. Theres even a slab close by to put your bbq or cooker on and we made use of the microwave in the fishermans lodge. Could do with a few more hooks and a bigger shelf by the socket if possible. Definitely would go again. Had a great stay despite the rain.

User
