Went for buyagift afternoon tea to find out they didnt do lunch time. Why i wasnt told that when i booked it
I attended an Area 36 Round Table Event. The function hall was a good size, tables were set up and decorated very nice. The main meal was lovely
As a guest yesterday at my cousins wedding I really felt for her and her new husband. The staff obviously need training and the events organiser who should have been present during the setting up also needs to up her game. The toilets were revolting , the most awful smell to them. The venue was unclean and I asked for the high chairs to be cleaned which were disgustingly dirty . No one there to helpfully show us where Decor was to be placed. The soup was hot and tasty the rest Iam afraid left the catering offerings much to be desired. My cousin had no hot water on her wedding morning to wash her hair. The service staff did not raise one friendly smile. The aisle carpet was filthy dirty and the room she was married in was grubby and unkempt. How on earth this hotel offers weddings I do not know . I believe one couple , guests at the wedding who arrived at 10.30am failed to get their room until late after the wedding ceremony and meal finished. I truly haven't attended such a grimy unpleasant venue with such disregard to make each and every wedding special. I hope my cousin has complained , in case she didn't I have . Do not book your wedding here until vast improvements to both skills of staff and venue have vastly improved.
Stayed here with a friend 3rd to 5th August 2017. Hotel is in a beautiful quite location close to train station for exploring and travel to Liverpool One and Albert Docks. Bedrooms are very clean and beds are very comfortable. Staff are fantastically helpful and friendly. Hotel is being refurbished at present so not all in good order although has loads of original features hopefully they will retain these when restoring to its full glory. Would love to return to see finished result. Highly recommend this hotel.
Attended for a christening and had a wonderful time. The sun was shining and the kids made excellent use of the large gardens. Bar prices are a little high but similar to other places of this type. Recently renovated and looks great definitely consider it for future events!
Lovely venue for a wedding, service from the hotel staff could have been a little better, the grounds are lovely, the bar was a little pricy, but not for a hotel bar. The hotel is quite out of the way, not near anything but is a short drive of about 15 minutes into Chester or 10 minutes to Ellesmere port and Cheshire oaks designer outlet.
Very beautifull garden and room service.nice attractive area to spend night out.
Attended for a wedding reception. Food was nice enough and the staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks prices were reasonable and cards were accepted at the bar.

Had a lovely time the staff were lovely especially Debs she was so efficient and always happy.
The only downside was the owner not very friendly at all could do with some customer service skills
