As it has a leaking fork oil seal, it's with us for a rebuild of its electronically adjustable Öhlins forks.

Look at the difference of these rechromed stanchions 😮
They're from a 1978 Yamaha XS250 and have obviously had a bit of a hard life!
As they are no longer available, either new or from any of the aftermarket manufacturers, rechroming was the only option in this customers case.
... All our stanchions are ground back to the bare steel before they are hard chrome plated to be slightly oversized. They are then precision ground (with an accuracy of 0.005") back to the original diameter before they are inspected for quality.
We use an industrial hard chroming process that is much more durable than the 'decorative' finish used on the majority of OEM stanchions.

What do you do if you're restoring a bike with knackered suspension but don't want to lose the originality of the OEM forks and shock by fitting aftermarket bits?
Easy - you send them to us so we can work our magic on them!
First up we have some before and after shots of a Honda VFR400 NC30 shock. This was vapour blasted, zinc plated and the spring was powder coated before it was fully rebuilt. We're well impressed with how it came out.
... We also have a pair of forks and a shock absorber from a 1999 Yamaha R1. The fork outers were polished and anodised light gold, the stanchions were rechromed and the lowers powder coated silver before they were full rebuilt. Disappointed that we forgot to take before pictures of these as they had definitely seen better days!
Not only do they look the part, they've all been rebuilt using Motul oil and genuine seals/bushes and are as good as new interally.
Now all they need is refitting on their restored bikes 😎

Needed a new Spring for my rear shocker on my Suzuki GSXR1000 K5. Brook Suspension supplied and fitted a K-Tech unit that they matched to my weight and requirements. Excellent and speedy service and a competitive price too. Highly recommended.

Just received my forks back from Brook Suspension, and I have to say they are exactly the way I had wanted. I live in the USA, and own a 2004 Honda RC51 SP2. I wanted to have a K Tech RDS cartridge kit installed, and also have the upper tubes re anodized a silver color to try and match the old AMA, WSBK bikes. I could not find any shops in the states that would re anodize the uppers any color other then black. I searched around for months looking for a shop, then I stumbled upon Brook's website. I am so glad I did, Dave and his staff were wonderful to deal with from the first email to the last. Always answered my questions with honest answers. I also made some changes last minute, and they accommodated me without any problems. I would recommend Brook Suspension to anyone looking for top quality work at a great price!!! Whether you are in the UK, or in another country. Brook's is the place to send your suspension!!!

I needed a rear Shock for my BMW R80RT mono. The team at Brook Suspension pointed me towards the YSS shock which arrived very quickly, fitted perfectly and looks great and at a very competitive price too. Note for the BMW R Series Airhead owners, this Shock fits even with the Vonzetti sub frame in place. All Good. Dave T
