6 shipping containers have made it to Stoke on Trent from Bursa in Turkey. Following the journey of 3200km they have now been offloaded and are ready for installation today by Durma Laser Engineers.

Our Laser Project is in full flow this week at our Stoke-on-Trent site, with Reynolds & Litchfield, JMB Builders and our own Engineers working closely together in readiness for Durma Engineers to start the Laser Machine installation on Monday 4th November.

Brown McFarlane congratulates its longest serving employee - 35years
On 10th July 1984 Barry Swindail joined Brown McFarlane as a grinder/fettler. His career progressed, encompassing various roles, he became a shift foreman at the age of 21 and a few years later started to manage transport. He gained international (CPC) qualifications in transport management and was part of the team that set up the warehouse facility in Dubai.
In recent years Barry’s role has involved warehou...se, transport, safety and environmental management. His knowledge and experience has been key in the transformation and modernisation of the business.
Managing Director Tony O’Reilly congratulated Barry on reaching this milestone and thanked him for his effort, loyalty and dedication.
A great ambassador for the business well done Barry.

Yesterday we were at the Inspiring Futures Event at Keele Hall. The aim of the event is to inspire around 600+ pupils between Y9-Y11 from North and South Staffordshire schools about the breadth of different careers that exist in various sectors and industries.
