Went to brownes for tapas early on in the evening and it wasn't too busy so the food didn't take long. The food was great. Especially the chorizo in cider sauce! Yum. We were given olives whilst we read the menu and then a fabulous shot of alcohol to end the meal. These little touches really make it for me. Will definitely be returning soon ļæ½

User

Went for breakfast here on Tuesday. Really enjoyed it! Hope to come back to try the tapas! Definitely will be back. Thank you for your great service.

User

Went Friday evening to try the new tapas menu and was not disappointed,,,we had tapas for starters which was all delicious especially the mushrooms, had fajitas after and was perfect, the chicken was cooked to perfection and literally melted in your mouth, 10/10 for me, couldnā€™t finish it all so went home with a goody bag which was ideal as didnā€™t want to waste food that good! Staff were a pleasure, shall be returning with friends and family very soon! Glad itā€™s back! Xx

User

We visited for tapas on a Friday evening. We were met with very friendly and attentive staff, couldn't fault the service throughout the whole meal. The food was really authentic and there was a really good range of dishes on the menu. Very good value for money. If you're thinking of going I would thoroughly recommend. It would be great to have a proper website or menu online, even in the window to show off what Brownes offers as it is a real gem right on our doorstep.

Visited today for the first time with my 15m old son. He had a bit of a meltdown, culminating in him banging his head and screaming. The staff were really helpful the whole time I was there, helping me out with little one and giving him some marshmallows and a colouring book to keep him busy. It made a stressful day that much easier.

Yummy slimming world friendly menu, and the kids food was wolfed down by our little boy. Will be back again to try some more of the menu. Thanks guys x

User

Lovely atmosphere, exciting and varied choice of tapas, very authentic and delicious, friendly and charming service, and definitely good value for money! I would recommend the quesa de cabra, gambas ajillo, tortilla, and rollito de pollo! By far the best tapas bar in Bristol! (:

User

I must admit, I was starting to feel a bit left out, with areas like St George getting great new little eateries like The Lock Up. It's been a long time coming, but I'm happy to say there is finally somewhere decent to eat out in Hanham. Delicious food, great wine, warm atmosphere, and most importantly, not Wetherspoons. We will definitely be back.

User

Had such a fantastic meal here, truly well looked after, in a gorgeous place and the food was outstanding. Thanks so much, can't wait to move close by! ā™”ā™”ā™”ā™”ā™”

Great food and good service. Have visited with children and with friends. The biggest attraction for me is the Slimming menu. It's so nice to have a good choice of foods available. I have tried the beef stew, spag carbonara and lasagne and it was all cooked lovely with a generous portion served.

Will definitely visit again.

User

Delicious food for breakfast, lunch and even tapas in the evening! Prices are very reasonable and the food is very tasty ļæ½ so pleased to have a decent independent coffee shop on the high street!

User

Always caters to my requests, friendly, kind staff and delicious food.

Slimming friendly menu which is fantastic ļæ½

User

I've visited Brownes a few times now and I've not been dissapointed, they cater for my vegan needs nicely. The food is delicious, the service is great and they are so helpful and friendly. Lovely atmosphere and with the tapas evenings you feel like you are on holiday . Can't wait to return soon šŸ˜Š

User

Great choice of breakfast. Food delicious staff very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be having breakfast there again.

User

Was really disappointed with breakfast today. The place was almost empty but we still waited almost 25 minutes for food (almost positive there were no orders infront of ours). The coffee was burnt and the food was mediocre at best. If you can't cook a poached egg I'm not sure you should be working in a kitchen.....

User

Looked nice from outside so thought I would try it. Was reasonably busy but order of latte took ages to arrive.... Food order took 30 mins to arrive, wasn't until I asked how much longer was told that they had been busy. I did say they could have told me there was going to be a delay as I wouldn't have bothered to wait around for food. Scrambled eggs on toast, half an hour later was OK but I have been put off of going there again....

User

I have been here once before and enjoyed the food etc, so today I went with my husband and 1yr old daughter. Totally different and poor experience. The waitress was more interested in talking to her friend that had come into the cafe than handing out menus, taking our order or actually remembering to put our drinks onto the order.

My food was burnt (slimming menu pancakes) although my

Daughters pancakes and husband sandwich were lovely. Unfortunately after waiting for quite some time to order/waiting for food, my 1yr olds patience was wearing a little thin so I didn't ask for it to be made again. A table of ladies opposite had recently finished eating and had advised the waitress one of the dishes were not great. The waitress simply said 'ok, how was everyone else's meals'.

Disappointed with our visit today and would be reluctant to go again unfortunately

User

What a disappointment this morning. Called in for breakfast as we have done on numerous occasions. Unlike before we had to ask for menus and coffee at the counter. The waitress brought coffees and asked for our order, which we gave to her and she wrote it down. My husband was served with his New York bagel, but nothing for me. Waited a while and asked where was my omelette with toast, to be told it hadn't been put through the till!!. I was asked if I still wanted it, but my husband was almost finished and I refused. Luckily there was an employee working at the next table and he arranged for us to have what we did receive free of charge. The young girl that made the mistake did not even apologise, but blamed the till. Not sure if I will frequent again.

User

Went in for the first time on Sunday for breakfast. Waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged so then had to ask for the menu ourselves. Then waited another 40 minutes for a fry up only for it to turn up over cooked

User

Was really looking forward to breakfast here with my partner & son, although the staff were polite and welcomed us in, our food took ages to come out, it was cold, the fried eggs were hard. My sons breakfast came out served with peas?! Instead of beans as it stated on the menu! My partners food wasnā€™t very hot. my hot chocolate was very weak and luke warm considering I had asked for it extra hot. Browneā€™s offer a very big childrenā€™s menu but donā€™t serve childrenā€™s food out with child-friendly cutlery, considering my child is 1.5years old. Very disappointing visit & definitely wonā€™t be returning. Waste of money if Iā€™m completely honest! The waitress kindly took our drinks off the bill but this shouldnā€™t of had to happen if we had just received the correct service we should of had.
