'The Streetfood Pimps' - Founders of the famous #KingshEATh Streetfood Market & now the game-changing city centre @HawkerYard! !

The popup restaurant movement brings high quality dining to unusual, sometimes unlikely locations. Popups are temporary and often unannounced prior to opening. Publicity is generated via food blogs and social networks.

Simultaneously, Streetfood is undergoing a renaissance. Driven by young, independent entrepreneurs, the 'Streetfood Revolution' has begun & a new wave of vendors has arrived.

This is all still very London-centric but there are a few people, including myself, who are working hard to bring these concepts out of the capital.
BRUM YUM YUM brings these ideas together in a semi-permanent, regular marketplace. The idea behind it is very simple:

Restaurant quality dishes prepared and served with flair, at 'on-street' prices, in accessible urban locations. Diners are served from unique, vintage vehicles or commercial stands and entertained by street performers. The atmosphere is relaxed but the food is serious.

The event closes down just as swiftly as it popped up, leaving no trace: Zero-footprint is essential to the popup concept.
