Brymor Ice Cream

About Brymor Ice Cream

Brymor was founded by dairy farmer Brian Moore (hence the name) when the milk quotas were introduced in 1984. Brian wanted to find ways to generate revenue from his spare milk and started testing ice cream recipes. After lots of trial, a little bit of error and lots of ice cream tasting, he settled on a delicious recipe which is the same one we use today. Brian and his family gradually expanded the menu of ice creams, forged a network of wholesale customers and made the Brymor parlour a local institution. Brymor was purchased by our managing director Paul Hodgson in 2015, who has worked hard to carry on the Moore family's legacy and ensure Brymor remains the go-to brand for real, made-on-the-farm Yorkshire ice cream. We now manufacture over 25 flavours of delicious ice cream from cream and milk produced by cows grazing the farms surrounding our dairy. Our range also includes vegan and dairy free options too. We're stocked in over 250 independent retails, farm shops and selected supermarkets, and loved by food service customers across the North East and Yorkshire.
