About Bsarcs

BSARCS is a registered charity and independent voluntary organisation which supports people whose lives have been affected by sexual violence.

Bsarcs Description

Our helpline is for anyone whose life has been affected by sexual violence. If you've experienced sexual violence yourself, or if you care for, work or live with someone who has, we can offer you confidential listening, support and information.

Our telephone helpline is available Monday to Thursday from 6. 00 to 8. 00pm by phoning 01226 298560. There is also a 24 hour answer machine on the helpline. Please feel free to leave a message and one of our volunteers will be happy to phone you back during helpline hours. You can let us know the most convenient time to call and whether or not we can leave a message at your home or work, and whether we should be discreet.

For women aged 16 + , we also provide free, person-centred face-to-face counselling and an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) service tailored to your needs, this can include a combination of practical support, outreach and advocacy. You can access these services no matter what type of sexual violence you've experienced, and regardless of whether it happened yesterday, ten years ago, or is still happening now. Just call our helpline for more information. We can also provide talks, presentations and training to other agencies, professionals and schools.
