BSG Ecology is one of the UK's leading ecological consultancies operating throughout England, Wales and Scotland. We focus on providing a service that meets our clients' needs through the delivery of pragmatic, innovative and cost-effective solutions. We employ a large in-house team of professional ecologists capable of undertaking the most demanding of projects, and have particular expertise in renewables (especially wind farms and energy from waste facilities), construction and green and brown roof design. Our team includes specialist botanists, ornithologists, freshwater ecologists and project managers, many of our staff hold multiple protected species licenses and we have a high profile in terms of bat research, training and survey work. We also have experience of all aspects of ecological reporting and assessment, including EIA.

All BSG staff are members of the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (IEEM).

BSG has a programme for continuous improvement of quality standards; we are CHAS accredited (Health and Safety) and are working towards ISO 9001. An Environmental Management System is operating across the practice and we are putting in place processes that will enable us to qualify for ISO 14001. A strict approval process is in place for engaging sub-contractors.
