About Bsrbr - Ra

The BSR Rheumatoid Arthritis Register tracks the progress of patients with severe rheumatic conditions who are taking biologic therapy.

Bsrbr - Ra Description

The BSRBR-RA is proud to be the largest prospective register of rheumatology patients receiving biologic therapy in the world and it currently has over 24, 000 patients registered. It continues to grow! Both patients and rheumatology health professionals complete BSRBR-RA questionnaires on a 6 monthly basis. The register is supported by a team of 15 staff at the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Epidemiology at the University of Manchester. The team provide a range of services including data collection and management, local investigator liaison, analysis and report preparation and pharmacovigilance.

This register is a unique collaboration between the University of Manchester, a medical professionals’ society (the British Society for Rheumatology) and the pharmaceutical industry. All consultant rheumatologists in the UK who have prescribed anti-TNF therapy participate in the register, supported by allied health professionals.
