Just one of the delicious specials Chef Gelu and JC have conjured up for this weekend. Asparagus with Parma ham and Hollandaise..
Asparagus is in season now and ours comes from a farm in Norfolk that specialises in this great vegetable! The coincidence is that this particular farm is where our now Head chef Gelu first worked as a very young man when he first lived in England! Now he is serving it in his creative way for us to devour!

New Brunch dishes on the menu from this Sunday!! Our vegetarian healthy option is gorgeous - smashed avocado, crumbled goat’s cheese and beets on a muffin or toasted sourdough!
We’re also now going to be open from 9am for Brunch on Sundays!! Come in and make it a lovely start to your day overlooking the Green in N21! The sun is going to make an appearance again then too!
... See you soon, Love JC and the team. X

So sometimes you want chocolate, sometimes you want cocktails....so our fabulous mixologist has made something that ticks both boxes to get your Friday night on the roll! Chocolate rum!
Our ‘Old Fashioned’ cocktail with a twist made with M&M infused Captain Morgan, Chambourd Liqueur, and a hint of Pedro Ximenez cherry. A sweet as you like cocktail with an aftertaste of cherries.

At Buckle, we don’t sit back and think that we’re ok with what we do well....we constantly strive to reinvent the wheel and one of the key orchestrators of that motto. is our wonderful Head Chef Gelu. Thank you Gelu for always pulling out the stops, and looking to create new specials that speak for themselves. Just a couple to show you, that are flying out of the kitchen this evening...one being a starter with a twist, King prawn with chorizo and chilli with an avocado dip.... There are many imitators, but only one Buckle and Vaughan. #superbfood #cuisinetodiefor #classyrestaurant #feelslikeyououtout

This restaurant has developed into an amazing one with fine cuisine. I go there so much, the food is just amazing, especially the goats cheese and vegetable starter and mushroom ravioli, so delicious. And the passion fruit mojito is to die for. The manager was very accommodating to my request for a window seat even though the table was for 4 and we were only 2.

User

So nice I did t want it to end. Soft succulent lamb and chicken in the mixed grill. Seasoned to perfection and cocktails were perfect too. A1 5 stars or more

Myself and my Fiancè booked B&V for Sunday Roast. We were not dissapointed.. The Table water arrives in a Beautiful jug filled with Mint, cucumber, Strawberries and Lemon. Once seated sourdough bread with balsamic and Olive oil is brought to your table, a very nice touch.

We had the piri piri prawns and calamari for starter. The prawns were full of flavour and had a hit of chilli, they were flavoursome and not stingy on portions.

The Calamari was tender and went well with the garlic mayonnaise, again enjoyable and a decent sized portion.

We went for the Gloustershire Black Spot Pork and Welsh Leg of Lamb.

The pork I have to say was out of this world.. cooked to perfection. The crackling was perfect.. and again a decent sized portion. Yorkshire pudding was very well executed, Roast potatoes very tasty, crispy on outside and fluffy in the middle.

Vegetables which consisted of runner beans, carrotts, broccoli were al dente which is the way I prefer my vegetables. The roasted parsnip was very nice too.

The Lamb in my opinion was a little over cooked but in no way spoilt the flavour. The Gravy went down a treat and overall we were pleasantly surprised as we have now found a great resturant which is on our doorstep.

We had a great bottle of white wine which was very reasonably priced. The waiters were on point and were very attentive and very friendly.

I haven't written such a positive review in a while but I have to say there were no negatives. I can thoroughly recommend this resturant.

My second visit to this restaurant. I returned because my first visit was fabulous and my second didn't disappoint. The food was fantastic and on par with the great service. We were there for a birthday celebration and everyone commented on how good it was.

User

It was a memorable evening celebrating my husbands 40th birthday at this lovely restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were all so attentive and a special thank you to Marcelo. The birthday boy really enjoyed speaking with you. Thanks to everyone!

User

I had the roast chicken yesterday and it was so succulent. The veg was cooked to al denate perfection, the gravy was very punchy and the Yorkshire was soft inside and a nice brown thin crisp look and tasted amazing. Carlos was our host and a top one at that. So polite and welcoming, 10 out of 10 for everything

User

Fabulous food. Highly recommended! Service was good and lots of choice on the menu. Our group had a selection of starters and steak, lamb cutlets, swordfish and Seabass and king prawns for mains Every dish was amazing.

User

User

Visited Buckle & Vaughan for a drink at the bar and was greeted by friendly staff. Had a warm welcome from the friendly barman who makes a great cocktail! Will be returning soon for what looks to also be a lovely dining experience!

User

The food was very good, better than the last time we went 6 months ago. The service was top notch and we enjoyed the live music. Look forward to our next visit.

User

4 of us had a very nice meal there last night first visit food was lovely very busy hence service bit slow had to wait approx 40 mins with pudding menu b4 order taken overall quit good!

User

The staff was very friendly and setting was lovely with open doors to the street that evening as it was unusually warm for May. We had calamari starter but it was a bit small, main very disappointing.. plain flavours and over cooked meat ( had veal ) desert was very average for the prices. Shame as we were really hoping for something better.

User

My first visit to this restaurant with my best friend who frequents here more often. It was her birthday and once we were seated I snuck off to ask for a little special treatment for her and was guaranteed a little treat. It was a very busy night but still doesn't warrant the lack of interaction and dismissive attitude of the staff. No birthday surprise showed up and we left a little deflated. On the upside the food was beautiful and very tasty.

As we departed I mentioned it to the maitre d' who'd promised the surprise but he looked blankly back at us. It is the little extras and acknowledgement from staff in an restaurant that make you stand out. Shame. We returned home to discover that another friend who couldn't join us had tried to call the restaurant on several occasions that night to purchase some cocktails for us but was met with rudeness and arrogance.

User

Just ok for me I'm afraid the food was over priced, the service by our waitress was dull and not friendly. The sea bass was bland and unseasoned. A lovely looking restaurant in Winchmore Hill where I grew up. I would not go back.

User

We were quite excited about going here, but left very underwhelmed. For the prices they are trying to charge (generally I wouldn’t think was too high) the food for us didn’t deliver. We both had the Calamari to start, when it arrived with a mere 3-4pcs we joked, suggesting this better be amazing because there is not much of it. Unfortunately it wasn’t, no real favour and very little of it, starters are supposed to set you up for the evening and it certainly didn’t. I will say the table next to us ordered the Brie and that did look very nice indeed! Main courses, my partner had the Lamb Skewer and I the burger, for £16-£20 we again were hoping for good things, however again it disappointed, the burger was fairly bland, however that was probably due in part to being raw in the middle (I asked for medium). On a positive had a few glasses of Red wine which were nice. I hope the place gets it right, unfortunately it didn’t deliver on the night

User

We went here for brunch on Sunday, after waiting for ages we had to ask for menus and again after waiting we had to ask to order. After 20 minutes we told a waitress that we were still waiting for our drinks and her response was extremely rude and unhelpful. Our food then came out it was cold and didn’t look nice at all, but when my friend bit into her hash brown.... it was FROZEN in the middle !!! At this point we decided to leave (still no drinks !!) won’t be returning.
