About Bucksvision

BucksVision is a local charity that provides support and services to blind and partially sighted people in Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes. Founded in 1911, we have over 100 years experience of providing continuous support and a network of social and activity clubs across Buckinghamshire which offer peer led activities and advice. In June 2014, BucksVision formed an Association with Action for Blind People /RNIB. Action /RNIB is a national sight loss charity and we share many of the same aims, with a focus on improving the lives of people who are visually impaired. Under the guidance of our new Chief Executive, Steve Naylor, we look forward to the development and growth of new and existing services. By 2050 the number of people with sight loss in the UK could be nearly four million. Therefore, it is our objective to engage and support those who are experiencing sight loss through a wide range of services such as our Living with Sight Loss courses, Befriending and our Hospital Information Service. This is an exciting time for anyone involved with our charity. There is always an opportunity for anyone to join our fantastic team of volunteers, and to become a vital part of BucksVision's commitment to sight loss prevention and support.
