Budby Antiques & Vintage Emporium With The Crew Yard Cafe & Bistro Description

We are friendly, family run Antique & Vintage Emporium with a café /bistro. We took the business over at the end of August 2016. The building itself is a listed barn, with extensive car parking, nestled in the heart of Robin Hood Country. There is approximately 5, 500 sq ft of quality antiques, jewellery, curios, paintings, vintage, retro and up-cycled furniture to suit all budgets. Alongside these, you will find bespoke hampers and one-off handmade gifts (as well as candles & other scented goodies to take home and unwind with).

At the heart of the building you will find our Crew Yard (previously a winter residence for cattle ) which is now home to our garden reclaimed and architectural salvage items. Looking onto the Crew Yard & nestled at the end of the building is our Café & Bistro. We offer a range of fresh home cooked meals from our specials board as well as scones, light bites & afternoon tea. There’s something for everyone! We also have a restaurant licence so you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer with whatever you pick from our tempting menu!

The Future
The building’s interior warrants some improvement so, over the coming months, we will be starting on a refurbishment programme. One of the major projects will be to install a large multi fuel burner to create ambience and heating throughout. We will also be updating and extending the interior of the Cafe & Bistro; French doors have recently been fitted to give more light and a designated entrance from the Crew Yard. Please bear with us it’s not going to be a two minute job!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

We stopped in here for some food on our way back from a day out. Even though we arrived a few minutes after they technically stopped serving food, the staff were more than happy to make us something to eat. The food tasted lovely and was beautifully presented. All the staff were really friendly. We will make a point of visiting the cafe again, and hope to properly look around the store next time. Thankyou

I worked here many years ago and visited today for the first time since. Enjoyable walk round looking at the many different antiques, homemade cakes and vegan meals, lots of choice.

Couldn’t rate this place highly enough !

We discovered it via a recommendation on the website of the lodge site we were staying at nearby.

The sun was shining so we decided to sit outdoors, the setting was idyllic and just right for after a day exploring Creswell Crags !

Scones were so light and the filling was plentiful.

Staff were attentive and friendly, engaging in conversation with both our autistic children and ourselves.

The mood was relaxed and airy and having refuelled in the cafe we had a browse around the emporium. Such a wonderful array of curios and so well laid out for an antiques shop.

All in all a very pleasant visit, should we return to the area we will most certainly be back !

Many thanks, The Cattersons

Antiques centre was much larger than I anticipated - very interesting to browse. I had some lunch in the cafe; chose the burger with sides of crisps and coleslaw and it was delicious.
