Our Nordic Walking breaks are run in conjunction with expert tuition and guidance by Walk Kernow. There will be a half day beginners workshop followed by a half day and a full day guided walk along the South West Coast Path. You won't need anything as such for this course as poles are provided. Just turn up in clothing to suit the weather.
Beginners Workshop covers:
Introduction to Nordic Walking and how it began... All about Nordic Walking Poles and how to use them safely Begin to learn the 10 steps of Nordic Walking A little Nordic Walking to practice what you have been learning and time to talk and ask questions. Introduction to the second part of the 10 steps of Nordic Walking including drills to help with technique Cool down to finish the session
There is plenty of time to ask questions during the session. If there is anything worrying you about starting to Nordic Walk with us please do get in touch and don't forget you don't need to be fit to Nordic Walk. We will be working with Kelly from Walk Kernow Nordic Walking, who will be your guide and instructor on this special break. There are 12 spaces on each break.

Arrive on a Sunday for a 4 night stay, including dinner bed and breakfast, plus expert guided Nordic Walking around the South West Coast Path in the Helford Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and further afield. Since married at Budock Vean over 15 years ago, Colin and I love to return, to enjoy the peaceful quiet ambiance, lovely food, luxurious spa, beautiful gardens and pure indulgence of this wonderful hotel and their friendly staff offer at every visit. Long overdue but I wanted to say the biggest thanks to Zoe at the spa for the most marvellous treatment. Such an amazing experience! The whole thing was infact, the overnight stay and meal was the biggest treat, my personal highlight was the breakfast bar in the morning, heaven! Followed by a day of relaxation and pampering at the spa. An absolute highlight of my year so far!

I rang and spoke to a lady called Rhonda, about a week before my daughters 24th birthday, my mum and dad were coming from Cambridge, my son from Devon, there were 15 of us in total,with such a short notice I didn't think I could get in anywhere! But this hotel were fantastic, accommodating, put out a lovely table for us all, was waited on from start till end, many of us went for a swim, while the rest of our group sat along and watched, my daughter had a lovely massage, the food was great, can't praise you all enough, we were let down by the Headland hotel, and so glad I rang you (being much closer also), actually made her birthday, thank you �

I have just returned from a wonderful two nights stay at the Budock Vean Hotel where the reception was held for my son’s wedding. Our room was lovely, views of the golf course, a seperate WC, beautiful crisp white bed linen, very spacious and quiet.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble.

The food was excellent and my husband said he had the best scrambled eggs ever for breakfast.

Always something to do, even in December, a short walk down to the river, golf, indoor swimming pool, sauna and outside hot tub. Table tennis and snooker.

It was a memorable weekend and I would like to experience the facilities during the Summer months.

I had a spa day with my beautiful daughter. It was a wonderful treat in the most beautiful place. Staff we uber friendly and efficient. Our treatment were professionally carried out with care and attention.

Came here for a pamper day for my friends hen party with 12 others. We had a lovely day getting our chosen treatments, i had a manicure, Harriet did a great job. We then had lunch, my crab sandwich was to die for. After that we used the spa facilities like the pool, sauna and jacuzzi, so warm. Staff were lovely and friendly. Beautiful views in the garden. Would recommend Budock Vean.

Beautiful place to stay. Just stroll into the golf course and 2 good tennis courts for those of us that enjoy a bit of outdoor activity. Afternoon tea is exceptional and the spa offers some really nice treatments. The food in the restaurant is also very good but if you prefer something more casual then the ferryboat inn (10 minute walk away or 2 min drive) is definitely worth a visit - just fur the view alone !

Beautiful hotel. Spent a few hours with my 9 year old in the pool and hot tub today for a 'spa day' . Staff were very friendly and polite. We had afternoon tea too which was plentiful and fresh. Would highly recommend this hotel. Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful afternoon and making my daughter feel very special.

Always lovely to visit this hotel and have done for a few spa days now. Today was superb, the spa staff are always so helpful and friendly. Gemma my massage therapist was lovely and gave an incredible treatment, as a therapist myself it can be hard to switch off but it was so wonderful and relaxing. My Mums therapist Chloe also gave a wonderful treatment which she thoroughly enjoyed. Staff were also very helpful and accommodating of providing a vegan substitute for the spa day lunch.

A very warm welcome from the helpful reception staff the hotel seems a very friendly place! All the staff seem keen to make our stay a very enjoyable one and they seem to go the extra mile to do just that, and all are friendly!

We had a refurbished room that looked over the golf course and was very good and the dinners and breakfasts were excellent! Golf around the challenging 9 hole course is free to residents. You play from different tees for your back 9 for 18 holes that can be played as a 2 ball in less than 3 hours. I’ve given it 5 stars because it deserves 5 stars!

What a beautiful part of our wonder West Country, and this hotel just ‘ups it game’ to satisfy the clientele.

My friends and I spent a very relaxing day in the spa yesterday. The only thing that spoiled it was the fact the power kept going off (not the hotels fault) meaning we could not make full use of the spa, have any hot drinks or use the showers. Such a shame as the day would have been perfect.
