In October 2020 the Prime Minister announced the 40 trusts that comprise the New Hospital Programme (NHP) and the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is one of these Trusts. The ambition of the New Hospital Programme is that if we are delivering such a large number of new hospitals, we should be able to generate efficiencies and economies of scale through working together, building on the best, standardizing and centralizing elements, and getting a better collective deal with the supply chain by working together.
