Traditional Japanese Martial Arts of the Samurai and Ninja in Worthing.
Bujinkan Ninpo Dojo - Worthing Shibu Description
I am running classes in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (aka Ninjutsu) in Worthing, under the auspices of my own teacher John Gardner.
These classes will be on most Thursday evenings, apart from when I am working, which is about 2 of every 8 Thursdays (so you get the occasional week off! ) Classes take place in the squash court at The Thomas Beecham Club, Dominion Way, Worthing, BN14 8PB, from 8. 30pm-10pm.
Classes are £5. 00 pay-as-you-go, with no long term financial commitment, although if you wish to study this art long term, you should join the Bujinkan organisation, for which you will receive a membership card from Japan, and apply for insurance cover, both of which are annual, due in January and usually cost around £25. 00 in total.
In addition to these Thursday night sessions, there is also a session on Tuesdays, again 8. 30-10pm, at Southwater Leisure Centre, Run by John Gardner, which I attend, because all instructors should continue as students under their own teacher(s) if they are to continue to grow and not stagnate.
In 2012 there are also Sunday workshops in Southwater every other month or so, from around 11am to 3pm or 4pm for around £15. 00, and if you have the time and money weekend seminars almost every weekend at around the country /world under a host of high ranking master teachers, which usually cost around £55 to £60 for a full weekend's training.
Also as you may or may not know, I am currently training in Jeet Kune do Concepts in Worthing, under Steve Eldridge, at 7pm every Monday (shiftwork allowing), also at the Thomas Beecham Club at GSK Worthing, and thoroughly recommend it.
If you have any questions about Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (Ninjutsu)or the Jeet Kune Do club, please let me know.

This is 9th kyu stuff that will become form for the entire future of your Taijutsu study! Note the foot positions.
Just to bring everyone up to date, there have been some changes to John Gardner's Bujinkan Ninpo Dojo training times and locations. Contact me for a schedule if you are interested but basically we have moved most of our Tuesday classes from Southwater Leisure Centre to Copsale Village Hall, 8pm-10pm. This is not only to save John from losing quite as much money on petrol and venue hire, but also gives us a full 2 hours' training for the same fee. Occasionally we will have to ...use the old venue when the village hall is booked up which is why you will need the schedule. Ali or myself may also run the odd Thursday session at Copsale rather than me start up again in Worthing, it isn't far, we can arrange transport, and we can tempt Horsham and Guildford folks to come along so it's all good! We'll let you know when these extra sessions will be and John is doing the odd Sunday too.

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JLVv7sFUoeg< br> Our demo from Friday night with Jake's Bujinkan Brighton Dojo.
The Worthing Class is on hold until a suitable new venue is secured. Please attend John or Jake's classes in the meantime to get some high quality training, they are less than half an hour away and I am often available for a lift.
Great session at John Gardner's last night, welcome to George from Romania and Zach, visiting from California. There is a session Thursday if the venue is still available. Will have to get the mats out soon though, before they knock it down.
Can I say 100% that I capture the kaname? No. But I do try to bring something alive to the techniques and principles I have learned, rather than mimic parrot fashion a set of movements that ostensibly look vaguely correct.
Yes there is a class tonight, let's see what Chris and Phil have brought back from Dave Heald's seminar, plus a few bits from me that we need to work on!
Made a last minute decision to visit Jake's dojo tonight, just the workout I needed, and lots of new material to experiment with!
Details of upcoming Bujinkan training day as follows: Dave Heald, Hemel Hempstead (Sandy Marwick hosting) on Sunday 14 July to cover Sword, Hanbo and Yari (spear). An absolute bargain at £25 for the day. I will find out more details if anyone is interested.
There is no training session tonight, we'll start again next week, 4th July.
Sorry all, there will not be a Worthing class tonight (13th June) or next week (20th June) due to family bereavement and all that this entails. I hope to start up again the following week. John Gardner's classes are also off for the next two weeks but I believe Jake Sharpstone's Brighton Dojo is business as usual.
