Ingredients for tomorrow’s special, vegetable lasagna.

User

Wonderfully friendly and welcoming staff. Amazing proper pub interior and of course Bathams beer. A real treat for real ale drinkers. This is one not to be missed off any tour list. Be warned though, you may spend a lot of time in this one.

User

Went for lunch today, faggots, chips and mushy peas, was delicious and a great price £3.00 you just can't beat it, friendly staff will be going back

User

Traditional real ale public house, finest Bathams Ale, solid pub food like it used to be. No TARDIS required to step back in time and enjoy good service, friendly atmosphere and great real Ale.

User

The pub is under new management, it continues to be run as good as before.

Friendly service excellent beers and good basic meals too.

Exactly what you wish to have, excellent !

User

The beer and the cobs are ace. All are nice and friendly. Just off the cycle route so get on ya bike and get there 👍

User

Possibly the best pub in the Midlands. Still a traditional interior and Bathams continue to brew two beers; mild or bitter, to a consistent standard. Would recommend this pub to any real ale drinker.

User

Nice to see Tom Wassell and good ale as normal missed Tom the gaffer

User

My husband tells me the Bathams is fantastic. Enjoyed lunch - hot beef roll, cheese roll and a portion of chips for under a fiver. Will definitely be back

User

Loving the new relaxed lunchtime atmosphere...things seem to be heading in the right direction! Happy to say I am a regular regular! Can't beat the Bathams!

User

Just enjoyed my first lunch in here in ages as I am usually at work. Lovely cheese ploughman’s with a great fresh, crunchy salad. Frank had one of the steak and Bathams pies which he said was delicious. Highly recommended at a bostin price too.

User

I would call myself a part-time regular! I try and visit about once a month. But since the new owners have been in, I've been 4 or 5 times to be nosy!!! I have to say, I've noticed a couple of little changes, to the menu for example, but on the whole, it's still the same great pub, warm, comfortable and the best ale in the midlands!

User

I miss my bitter so much, please arrange a charity night, so that I can come over and drink the world's best bitter before I pass away. A big hello and cuddle to all who remember me, mad Joy who buggered off to Berlin.

User

Great pub great staff great cobs great beer great great great

User

Great pint. Trad. bar no frillys just right. That's how it should be. Nuff said

User

Great food and even better bitter

Proper black Country pub.

User

Great beer great atmosphere great cobs.

User

Great beer ....well it’s Bathams, what do you expect. Cracking tasty cobs to go with it. The pub has lots of character and lots of characters!

User

Great beer (Bathams) . Great company . Great food for lunch. Great bar staff. Well basically great. Recommend everyone to try it. You will not be disappointed.

User

User

Best cobs and traditional food ! What a pub Bathams beer at its best good staff, well worth a visit.

User

Best beer, best cobs and pork pies and most of all best pub.

User

Bathams is the holy brew. The bull and blood of being situated right next to the brewery the centre of all holiness. Fantastic, great beer, great baps and pork pies. Well worth a visit.

BEER

It’s a funny old thing about hops; they’re one of those very strange crops that climb up high poles in Worcester & Kent awaiting the harvest when sunshine is spent.

Those little hops are used to help make a potion that is better than lotion when you want a fine cure for ailments that endure.

Bull & Bladder’s the pub choice of mine even though it’s actually called the vine

Shakespeare wrote “Blessing of your heart: You brew good ale” and that’s the truth as it’s tasty & pale

Old Will was born too early to visit the “Delph” but he would surely have toasted the health of Daniel Batham & his brewing family who perfected the art of the specific gravity.

The mild & the bitter have equals few but the most amazing tipple is the special “winter brew”

Many generations on from the original old Daniel the family still

brews & you can’t hold a candle so pick up your glass & toast the health

to Batham’s beer, brewed “down the Delph”

User

As normal great pints and Cobs in a great pub with friendly staff and great locals. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👍🏽

User

Always been a favourite for me the rare times I am around this neck of the woods. Quality beer, great cobs & of course great staff to match. The Cobs have got bigger lol

User

A unique, traditional, thriving and friendly pub serving sublime Batham's ales. A place for conversation and people of all ages.

User

A small choice of foods, but all very fresh and incredible value 😋. The cobs are amazing!

User

A proper pub with proper beer, always a good atmosphere. Good luck to the new ownership regime, don't change the B an B too much though coz its fine just the way it is.

User

236, 5* reviews, speaks for itself really, cracking place, homely atmosphere. Friendly staff, cracking beer and fodder. Home from home with the real meaning of a Black Country public house, couldn't ask for more.

User

I came in for lunch yesterday for the first time since new management. I was pleased to find that the pub still has the same homely feel with excellent food and drink, your staff were also friendly and helpful. I do have just a couple of small requests, please make sure you have mayonnaise available for your amazing plated salads and cobs and get in some proper Coleman's English Mustard!! You can't have a pork pie with that fake mustard, it's just not right!!! With both of those condiments available with my lunch I would have given you 5 stars!! Good luck xx

User

Beer was really good

Place seems to be a bit fresher

Very friendly bar staff

User

Had lovely pint last night new landlord knows how to Keep nice beer

User

Popped in the other day for a cob, no cobs whatsoever. If it's not broke, don't fix it......I prefer the way things were before!!!

Hello there I have been on holiday for some time unfortunately I went to the bull for a drink and I was told Mel and his family had left and staff. Mel was such a great friend and outstanding manager and staff are always friendly and well mannered and really good at there jobs the food was bang on and a great price and service. I have seen some of the other posts about the wall that was disgusting trying to put Mel down why else put the video on. Mel was such a great manager and he did not deserve that. Last time I went to the bull there was a middle aged lady with a bit of weight on her I think her name is Sarah she was not very welcoming at all. I have heard tom is a good manager when he is there I hope tom can keep a good house like Mel did. I wish you all the best jon
