We went for lunch after a morning in the V&A. It was busy, good sign! However they found us a table , it was Sunday so the Roast seemed in order. I ordered the pork and my wife the chicken . I was the driver so I had their home made ginger water , pretty much like ginger beer but lovely and fresh and not carbonated. Wife had SB buy the glass and reported well. The service was good and considering how busy they were the time to server was very good, ok a roast is easy because most is pre-prepared. The food quaility was excellent , beautiful veg, tender and flavoursome meat and tasty gravy and a Yorkie that was definitely of the frozen type.

We live in the country and buy quality traceable meat from a local butcher and grow our own veg so we know what good food tastes like and this ticked the box. Finished with great coffee and a very acceptable bill. I'm a bumpkin myself! And for Chelsea I though this was great value.

Great food and excellent staff, made a real fuss of our 15month old. Highly recommend.

Cozy garden, amazing food and atmosphere

Brunch was amazing and we were still served it even though we arrived ten minutes after brunch time ended! The sticky toffee pudding was gorgeous as well. The service was brilliant, lovely staff, and complimentary prosecco to end our lovely weekend. Will be back again :)

Define "Bumpkin" country fresh produce!

That's not what you are currently offering!

Suggestions

Offer a more seasonal menu, small but interesting fresh produce, maybe one or two choices but change every month with the seasons.

Crikey it's not rocket science!

Then offer a small menu for those wanting burgers, steak, fish all with chips!

Otherwise you might as well close down because every restaurant is offering burgers, steak, pie with chips and not the best chips I have ever eaten either!

Sorry but this restaurant could be so much better, lovely location, tired inside, garden could be fabulous, has anyone walked

around the garden centre next door?
