Bunkers Hill Swimming Description
Bunkers Hill Swimming is owned and run by Carol Kibblewhite. The pool first opened in September 1990. Carol had just finished as a full time PE teacher to start her family and walked past the unused private pool complex daily. Bunkers Hill Swimming grew rapidly and by 1992 they had 100 families and 6 instructors!
In 2006 the property owner moved to Australia and Carol and her family were able to buy the premises and Carol’s dream of owning the swim school came true! Now, it’s a thriving teaching pool run by a family who are truly passionate about what they do.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Remember the Christmas fun sessions for existing pupils during the last week of term run at 3:45 4:45 and 5:45 Monday to Friday. 9:30 and 10:30 on Saturday.
So summer is over 😞. But we are smiling as it’s our first week back 🙂.
We are working on the new timetable for existing customers during the week beginning Monday 20th August. So watch out for an EMail with details of your child’s day/ time. towards the end of that week.. if you would be good enough to confirm that placement as soon as you can that would be very helpful and allow us to then offer places to children on our waiting list before the summer holidays finish. Thank you.

The flood at Barton has gone so road is clear... :)
Just a note for those who come via Barton we have had reports from people that Barton is impassible via road unless you have a boat car. 🙂 so you’ll need to take extra time to go through Welford
We know it’s cold outside but if you decide to brave the cold car journey , we are OPEN and the pool is nice and warm & you can defrost in the warm lobby area! The car park and drive is mostly clear. 🙂 tea and coffee & hot chocolate free for those who brave the beast from the east!
As the Siberian blast hits UK - we are still open and the pool is very warm...
please note there is a roadclosure - we have only just been made aware of this.
Well we are just coming to the end of the winter course - Bring on the Spring course. We will be open Easter for private lessons and dolphin club. Don’t forget we do children’s parties on a Saturday afternoon - email carol for more info.
Some are sad that Christmas is over, we aren’t as it means we get to do what we love again - Teaching all our lovely customers how to swim. If any of you have ideas about a New Years resolution to get fit we have a few solutions. 1. Leisure Swim 2. Aqua fit - email carol for more details. :)

As the cold chill continues we at Bunkers Hill are keeping the pool extra warm and we will stay open all week- we have cleared the driveway and will keep it clear. With all this snow we have also got into the festive mood. :)
