Burnell Briercliffe Architects is a small, friendly practice based in Sheffield. We are, by instinct, a ‘social enterprise' – our mission is to improve the lot of as many people as possible. Our partnership structure gives us the freedom to pursue this without pressure from shareholders to maximise profit. We aim to be known as a good architect, a good employer and, generally, to have a positive influence on the world. Architecturally, we strive for beauty, simplicity and sustainability, but of key importance is what our clients want. We do not impose an office style but take time to discover requirements and preferences, and the limitations of site and budget, then find the best way to fit these together. For relatively uncomplicated schemes we offer a one-stop service, providing scheduling, cost control, structural engineering and CDM Co-ordination as well as architectural services, allowing a reduction in overall fees to our clients.
